How To Gather All The Mythic Dawn Commentaries

Player finds Baurus dining at the lodge house bar in Oblivion Remastered.

Go to the Imperial Elven Gardens District.🌱 ꦰIn the center of the district and on the eastern side is Luther's Boarding House.

Enter and see that there is a man drinking at the bar. Before you talk to him, sit down on the stool to his right.

Player sits, speaking to the barkeep, as Astav the assassin shadows Baurus the Blade in Oblivion Remastered.

Talk to Baurus and agree to♒ do as he says. Do not yet bring up any mention of Martin or the Amulet of Kings.

Wait until the man in the corner, Astav Wirich, gets up and follows Baurus. Follow him in turn, descending into the boarding house's basement.

Player finds the first volume of the Mythic Dawn Commentaries in Oblivion Remastered.

Once Baurus and Astav have reached the bottom of the stairs, Astav will reveal himself as a Mythic Dawn assassin. Defend Baurus by killing Astav.

Once Astav is dead, loot his corpse and take the Mythic Dawn Commentaries I.

Do not attack Astav before he begins attacking Baurus. If you attack Astav before he has transformꦛed and has no🎀t drawn his weapons, it will count as assault and give you a bounty.

Baurus tells the player about Tar-Meena in Oblivion Remastered.

Baurus will forcibly begin dialogue with you. Exhaust all of his options until he tells you about your next🐠 stop:🧜 Tar-Meena.

If you've taken on the Mages' Guild questline, you should already be famil♕iar with Tar-Meena. She can be found in the Mystic Archives dur♔ing the day and the Mages' Quarters in the evenings and nights.

Player prepares to ask Tar-Meena about the Mythic Dawn in Oblivion Remastered.

Speaking with Tar-Meena about the Mythic Dawn, she will tell you that you need all four volumes to find the secret hideout. She gifts you the second volume, but the third and fourth edition locations are unknown. On her advice, travel to the First Edition bookstore in the Markets District.

This is a good time t♛o stock up on items and repair aওnything that is broken while you're here in the district.

Player asks Phintias about the Mysterium Xarxes in Oblivion Remastered.

Speak with the bookkeeper, Phintias, to learn that he does have a copy of the third volume; however, he has already so♐ld it to a custꦚomer.

From here, you can attempt to do any of the following:

Wait for Gwinas

Speak to Gwinas and tell him that the Mythic Dawn killed the Emperor. He📖 will give you t🔯he book and meeting note for free.

Steal the Book

The book 🐓can be stolen from the Hard-level chest behind the counter against the back wall. However, you will still need the note from Gwinas.

Buy the Book

Perꦇsuade Phintias to sell you the book for 100 gold by raising his opinion of you to 80+. You will still need Gwinas'🅷s note.

Kill Gwinas

K༒ill Gwinas (and likely Phintias) to pull the book and note off his body.

Of all four options, simply talking to Gwinas is easiest and the least likely to go ca🌱tastrop🌳hically sideways.

Player finds the entrance to the Elven Garden Sewers in Oblivion Remastered.

Return to Baurus at the Boarding House and tell him about the meeting on the note you received from Gwinas.

After you've exhausted his dialogue, follow Baurus to the entrance to the sewers. It will be across the street and in a small 🍸bunker-lik🌊e structure in the northeast corner of the alleyway opening by the well.

Player follows Baurus inside the sewers and stumbles upon a firepit in Oblivion Remastered.

For the remainder of your time in the sewers (pre-meeting), you must follow Baurus through the maze of tunnels.

Defeat the hordes of rats, mudcrabs, and 🌼goblins as you seek to preserve as much of Baurus's health as possible.

Baurus accepts allowing the player to take over the meeting with the Mythic Dawn in Oblivion Remastered.

Once you reach the meeting site, you will have two options:

  1. Let Baurus handle the meeting and cover him from above.
  2. Handle the meeting yourself and tell Baurus to cover you.

If you choose the second option, you must insist to Baurus twice that you wish to handle the meeting.

Player uses Chameleon spell to hide during the Mythic Dawn meeting with Baurus in Oblivion Remastered.

If you let Baurus handle the meeting, stealth will be your priority.

To prolong the conversation to its fullest, you should:

  • Cast a or related invisibility on yourself as you enter the room.
  • Sneak inside the main chamber.
  • Immediately drop off to the right of the bridge when given the opportunity.
  • Continue hiding behind the pillar of the bridge and watch.

When the Mythic Dawn leader finally recognizes Baurus, all three of them will attack. Defeat them all.

Baurus's essential status ends during this fight. He can die, meaning that if you wish for him to survive and join the Blades at Cloud Ruler Temple, you should either have access to a heal or other spell or put yourself on the frontlines to use your body as a shield.

Raven Camoran assesses whether the player is worthy enough to seek out the Mythic Dawn shrine in Oblivion Remastered.

If you choose to do the talking yourself, you won't be able to progress much farther than Baurus above. The Mythic Dawn on the top floor will see him eventually, and you will have to fight regardless.

This option typically has the best survival chances for Baurus, as you can use yourself to block the stairs and prevent the boss from reaching Baurus at all.

Player loots the fourth chapter of the Mythic Dawn Commentaries from Raven Camoran in Oblivion Remastered.

Once all the Mythic Dawn have been defeated, loot the body of Raven Camoran for the fourth and final installment of the Mythic Dawn✨ Commentaries.

To leave the sewers after this, you should exit the door under the bridge. Follow the trail of corpses you left to find♏ the way back▨ to the city.

If you instead use the key Raven Camoran drops (which you should pick up; it is the only sewers key available) on the locked door back into the sewers, you should have a high-level unlock ⛎spell or several lockpicks as you will have to exit the sewers through the notoriously difficult locked doors of individual citizens' basements.

How To Solve The Puzzle Of The Mythic Dawn Books

Player reads Mythic Dawn Commentaries 4 to discover its secrets in Oblivion Remastered.

There lies a hint to the location of the Mythic Dawn hideout in each✤ one of the books.

However, if you feel that your Hero of Kvatch is not one for puzzles, travel back to the Arcane University and speak with Tar-Meena.

Otherwise, you can sneak a peek at the secret solution below:

Player looks up at the White Gold Tower as the sun touches it in Oblivion Remastered.

Once you've determined the secret of the puzzle, travel to the Imperial Palace and take a right (south).

Go to the Tomb of Prince Camarill and look up. Wait until the sun has touched the White-Gold Tower between 11:38am and 12:30pm.

While you can technically interact with the tomb beforeꦡ this time, you will not receive the related achievement, Located the Shrine of Dagon, if you do not interact with the tomb during the correct window.

Player looks at the Tomb of Prince Camarril to discover the map location of the Mythic Dawn in Oblivion Remastered.

As the sun hides behind the tower, look at the tomb front to see that the stone has now🦄 been etched with a glowing symbol of the sun and a map of Cyrodiil.

Interact with the map to have the location written down on your own.

With the secret location of the Mythic Dawn now discovered, it is time to confront the Mythic Dawn in their own secret lair.
