Oblivion is famous for its large supply of unique quests. Although the main quest, along with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:each guild questline, is very exciting, there are also dozens of fun side quests to complete from town to town. Chorrol is one of the most not🤪able towns in Cyrodiil, so it's no surprise that there are tons of quests to discover there.
"Canvas The Castle" is a quest you can complete in Chorrol, one of the main cities in Oblivion. There are many objectives within this mission, but it involves finding the culprit who stole a painting, so it's quite a thrilling quest. Here's everything you need to know to complete "Canvas The Castle" with ease.
How To Unlock The Canvas The Castle Quest
To unlock the "Canvas The Castle" quest, you need to speak to Countess Arriana Valga inside Chorrol Castle. Speaking to her will reveal that her husband has passed and a painting was stolen. Arriana Valga is in an enraged state when you first meet with her, so she explains that she wants you to find out who the thief is. However, proceed with caution since she'll be unbearably angry at whoever you choose to accuse.
With this information in mind, Arriana Valga will hand you a key and allow you access to areas off-limits to citizens. This is where your investigation begins.
How To Complete The "Canvas The Castle" Quest
There are three steps you must take to find and accuse the correct suspect in "Canvas The Castle." Here's everything you need to know about the suspects and how to find evidence.
Speak To The Suspects
There are five suspects in total, all of which have different reasons they may have stolen the painting. You'll need to speak with each of them for this objective, but they're each in different locations around the area, which may vary based on the time of day. Map markers will point you to the correct locations.
Once you speak to each suspect, you need to bribe or persuade them into increasing their disposition towards you, which will then allow you to speak to them about the theft. Abilities such as Voice Of The Emperor can help with this task as well. Th🦩e suspects you need to speak to are named Laythe Wavrick, Chanel, Orok Gro-Ghoth, Orgnolf, and Bittneld The Curse-Bri♚nger.
Find Evidence
There are three separate pieces of evidence that you need to use to solve the crime. You can discover all of them inside Castle Chorrol, so you won't need to travel to any other locations in Cyrodiil to solve the case. The three pieces of evidence are as follows:
- Chanel's lectern is the first piece of evidence you can discover. The lectern is inside Chanel's room inside Castle Chorrol, so it's fairly easy to find compared to the other evidence. You need to open the lectern inside the room and then leave. There are still two other pieces of evidence to find.
- The next piece of evidence is a strange painting. You'll find the painting within a trap door, which is next to a set of crates inside the west tower of Castle Chorrol. The painting features a chapel, but the painting itself is a piece of evidence.
- To collect the final piece of evidence, travel to the dining room of Castle Chorrol and find the carpet underneath the table. You can inspect the paint stain on the carpet and collect it to be used as evidence in the crime.
Accuse A Suspect
Although there are five possible suspects earlier in the quest, only one of the citizens in Chorrol is actually responsible for the theft. You need to accuse the correct suspect, but luckily all evidence points towards Chanel, so it's an easy decision.
Confront Chanel and make sure your disposition with her is at a minimum of 70. At this point, she'll reveal her love for the Count, and how saddened she was by his death. Due to jealousy, Chanel stole the painting from the Countess. At this point, Chanel will give you the painting, and you need to make a decision.
Speak to Arriana once again and either reveal the truth about Chanel or explain that the painting is somewhere outside of Chorrol, lying to her in the process. If you tell the truth, Chanel is punished with banishment from the city of Chorrol. 𝄹If you lie, then Chanel is spared from punishment. This decision concludes the "Canvas The Castle" quest.
Collect Your Reward
After you make your decision and complete the mission, you'll gain a reward. If you tell the truth, Arriana will reward you with a leveled bounty of gold. If you lie, you'll gain less gold from Arriana, but Chanel will paint you a beautiful painting that you can sell for 500 gold. Regardless of the option you choose, you'll essentially only gain gold as a reward.
