Out of every game protagonist to ever exist, Travis Touchdown, lead of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:No More Heroes, is somehow simultaneously the simplest and most complicated. He's a man with very obvious wants and needs, all of which are generally unsafe for work, but he's also a man of hidden depths, principles, and even a code of conduct, warped though it may be.

But how exactly did this man go from being some random schlub living in a motel to one of the most powerful assassins in the entire world, and possibly beyond (while still living in a motel)? Let's trace back the history of Travis Touchdown over the course of the No More Heroes series in order to figure that out.

Be advised, we're getting into spoilers for most of the No More Heroes series. Also, content warning: sexual abuse and suicide.

5 ♋ Early Life 💙

No More Heroes Boss Standoff

Travis Touchdown's early life, at least as far as what's been revealed to us, was fairly unremarkable. He was born alongside a twin brother, Henry, to a seemingly "normal" mother and father. The only standout person in his life beyond his family was a girl named Jeane, whom he shared a romantic relationship with. You can imagine his shock, then, when he returned home one day to find his parents brutally beaten to death, with Jeane standing over their corpses, s෴miling.

This was no random act of violence, however; Jeane was, in fact, actually Travis' half-sister, sired by his father with another woman. Out of his family's eye, Travis' father had taken Jeane in after her mother committed suicide, keeping her in a secret apartment and sexually assaulting her on a regular basis. To get revenge on him, Jeane trained as an assassin, ultimately succeeding in her revenge.

Incidentally, in No More Heroes 3, Henry claims that this original story was actually a fabrication. Henry claims that their father was actually a𓆉 serial killer, and that he, Travis, and Jeane escaped into the forest one winter, hiding out for weeks before being cornered by government agents and having their memories erased. That said, Henry is... not quite in his right mind in No More Heroes 3, so this story is best 🌜taken with a pinch of salt.

Regardless of how and why it happened, Travis and Henry lost their family. Henry was adopted by the prestigious Cooldown family of Ireland, while Travis began wandering through life as a vagabond. During this time, he dabbled in a variety of interests, picking up his initial interest in anime and otaku culture. He a🌊lso worked as a professional wrestler for a brief time before switching to sword fighting, developing his personal style through a combination of training from retired assassin Thunder Ryu and a series of correspondence♔ classes.

4 The World Of Assassins - No More Hﷺeroes ꦺ

Well into his adult years, Travis had settled into a routine. He set up a home for himself in the motel No More Heroes, based in Santa Destroy, California, the worst city in America. He spent his days visiting the video store down the street owned by his best (and only) friend, Bishop Shidux, renting anime and movies, and tooling around at home with his pet cat, Jeane (having unconsciously b♉locked his memories abo✤ut the real Jeane).

One day, however, he realized an unfortunate truth: he was borderline broke, unable to afford any more anime or games. Frustrated, he visited a local bar and got blackout drunk. In his stupor, his memories resurfaced, and he began drunkenly ranting about wanting to get rev🦩enge on Jeane to anyone who would listen.

As it so happens, one person was listening: Sylvia Christel, public representative of the United Assassins Association. Sylvia plants the idea in Travis' head to enter the world of assassins by murdering Helter Skelter, the 11th strongest assassin ranked by the association. As it so happened, before he ran out of money, Trav𓄧is had purchased a cheap beam katana in an online auction, so once he sobered up a bit, he went to find Helter Skelter and dispatched him swiftly.

With his entrance into the rankings, Travis fought his way up, lured by Sylvia with the promise of money and sex. In short order, he killed every ranked assassin, save for number eight, Shinobu Jacobs, due to his personal policy against killing young women. As he confronted the number one assassin, Dark Star, he was 🔯surprised when he was suddenl🍰y struck down by Jeane, having been invited to the fight by Sylvia.

After a prolonged battle, Travis succeeded in killing Jeane with a last-m🎐inute intervention from Shinobu, becoming the strongest assassin in the world.

3 ꦺ The Crownless King - No More Heroes 2

Travis Touchdown prepares to strike against a red background

After becoming number one, Travis suddenly lost con🔯tact with Sylvia. Assuming the entire UAA setup🍰 was actually just a scam, Travis returned to his usual life.

However, outside his notice, Travis had become something of a hero to Santa Destroy and the assassin community. Most assassins found themselves firmly entrenched in their lifestyle due to various factors, but Travis was able to walk away. He was able to leave the rankings, say "no more." This was why Travis became known by two nicknames: the "Crownless King," and the "No More Hero." It was this increased attention that would ultimately draw Travis back in, but not in the way he would've wanted.

Jasper Batt Jr., owner and CEO of the Pizza Bat corporation, was the last surviving member of his family after his father and brothers had been killed by Travis in a contract assassination gig. Once he knew where Travis was, Batt began systematically conquering Santa Destroy with his brand and targeting Travis' friends and associates. This ultimately culminated in a mafia hit on Bishop, with a gang of thugs breaking into his store and gunning him down.

Travis, who had received a cryptic warning about the attack from Helter Skelter's brother, Skelter Helter, received Bishop's severed head in a paper bag thrown his window. Mad with rage, Travis reestablished connection with Sylvia, asking her to use her resources to find Bishop's killer. As it so happened, Batt had become the new number-one assassin, so all he had to do was fight his way up again.

And fight his way up he did, cutting down numerous opponents and growing steadily more dissatisfied. After killing the number two assassin, Alice Twilight, Travis added a new condition to his participation with Sylvia: once he wins, no more ranking fights. As Travis puts it, assassins may be murderers, but they don't deserve to butcher each other for the public's amusement.

After that, Travis scaled Pizza Bat Tower and killed Batt in a climactic battle, finally getting his revenge. True to her word, Sylvia ended the ranking fights, but without the UAA, she ended up working in a seedy peep show for an indeterminate period. 🌱Travis managed to track her down and asked her to marry him.

2 ꦡ Off The Grid - Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

Travis Touchdown and Badman battle

Travis and Sylvia had a good life, for a period. Sylvia gave birth to a daughter named Jeane and a son named Hunter. However, as the most powerful assassin in the world twice over, Travis found himself the regular target of other assassins' ire, with his fights with them putting his family in danger.

In order to protect them, Travis divorced Sylvia and went off the grid, living in a trailer in the forests of Texas. Even that couldn't keep him safe forever, though: one night, Travis was ambushed in his home by Badman, father of the original number two assassin, Charlotte "Bad Girl" Birkin, in an act of revenge. As they fought, their bloodlust caused the awakening of the Death Drive Mk. II, a supernatural video game console Travis h♍ad happened into൩ possession of.

Sucking the two into its Death Ball game cartridges, the AI construct of the Death Drive's creator, Dr. Juvenile, informed them that they could have one wish if all the games could be beaten. As a peace offering, Travis offers to let Badman make the wish to return Bad Girl to life, and the two strike a truce to complete the games. They successfully completed all the cartridges, which Travis had gathered beforehand in the years since his divorce, though the final cartridge was unfinished, resulting in Bad Girl being revived as a dog instead of a person.

After another brief trip, in which Travis reconnected with Shinobu, who ran her own assassin dojo, and Henry, who had apparently joined a cult, he obtained a finished version of the final game. With the finished game,💛 Badman succeeded in🦋 reviving Bad Girl.

With both his bloodlust reawakened and the realization that Santa Destroy needed his protection, Travis ended his isolation and returned to the Motel No More Heroes, revamping the building into a base of operations. Two fl✤oors of the building were set aside for Travis to live in, while three of the rooms were given to Shinobu, Bad Girl, and Badman to live in.

Travis mostly returned to his old habits at this point, watching anime and playing games, having found a friend in Bishop's younger brother Buzariashvili (whom Travis also calls Bishop for the sake of convenience). However, using technology salvaged from Dr. Juvenile, he also set up an impressive laboratory in the basement, using it to enhance both his beam katana and the powers he obtained from the Death Drive.

Around this time, Sylvia had found a new job as an assistant to Damon Ricotello, CEO of the Utopinia corporation that had extensively redeveloped Santa Destroy. Damon, as it so happened, had formed a relationship with a wayward alien named FU in his youth, gaining extrasensory abilities in the process. On the day FU prophesized his return to Earth, he brought along a gang of escaped alien convicts, declaring his intent to conquer the planet and subjugate humanity. Seeing an opportunity, Sylvia reestablishes the UAA and sics Travis on FU and his minions, with Travis hoping that, when the matter is settled, they'll have a chance to discuss how the kids are doing.

To say Travis' story got a bit... out of hand would be the understatement of the century. Even so, he did manage some growth as a person, even if it took a lot of head-severing to get there. While he started out as impulsive, ignorant, and bloodthirsty, he eventually grew to be a savvy, occasionally compassionate man who is still very bloodthirsty, but only when the moment calls for it.
