Corrupted S▨entinels have appeared alongside strange purple crystals which have caused those Sentinels to mutate into dangerous new forms. But these mutations have also created new rewards for galaxy-hopping Travelers, provided they’re brave enough to face these Corrupted Sentinels head-on.
If you want to repair your new Sentinel Multi-Tool or find a crashed Sentinel Interceptor, then you're going to need to fight some Corrupted Sentinels. We've got the intel to make sure you head into combat prepared.
How To Find Corrupted Sentinels
The first step to fighting Corrupted Sentinels is finding them. To do that, head to the Galaxy Map and search for a system labeled "Dissonant."
You'll need a Conflict Scanner to see these Dissonant systems.
Once you've found a Dissonant system, warp there and scan each planet for the "Corrupted Sentinels" description. This will be listed where the planet would normally display the hostility levels of the Sentinels pr🦋esent.
With the Corrupted planet found, just fly there and land. It shouldn't take too long before you spot your first Corrupted Sentinel.
Another option to find a Corrupted Planet is to first start by fighting non-corrupted Sentinels in space. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destroying a Sentinel Dreadnought will award Travelers with the new Dreadnought AI Fragment item which, when used, will direct players to Corrupted Planets and a crashed Sentinel Interceptor.
Initiating your fight against the Corrupted Sentinels is easy: just shoot them. Alternatively, you can find a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gravitino Ball and harvest it, which never fa♊ils to anger the Sentinels, Corrupted or not.
Fighting Corrupted Sentinel Drones
Your first encounter with a Corrupted Sentinel is likely going to be a Corrupted Sentinel Drone. These are similar to the Sentinel Drones in other systems but have purple crystals growing out of their metal carapace. They also have deadly new attacks.
Like regular Sentinel Drones, Corrupted Drones can shield themselves and also heal other Corrupted Sentinels. Unlike regular Drones, Corrupted Drones have a flamethrower attack in addition to their normal blaster and shotgun-style attack𒀰s (similar to the Boltcaster and Scatter Blaster on your Multi-Tool).
The Sentinel Drones' most deadly attack is its flamethrower, so keep your distance while fighting them. Also, always keep moving. It's much harder for a Drone to hit you if you're a moving target.
Defeated Corrupted Drones drop Combat Supplies, which can contain projectile ammo, nanites, Atlantideum, and Salvaged Glass. Corrupted Sentinel Drones also have a random chance to drop an Echo Locator, which can help 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:locate a Harmonic Camp.
Fighting Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds
Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds will start to appear after reaching wave three and can sometimes be found protecting Dissonance Resonators. These are massive arachnid robots that can summon swarms of tiny spider bots that explode on contact. They also have powerful grenade attacks that can strip your shields in a single blast.
As with the Corrupted Sentinel Drones, the best defense against Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds is to keep moving. Its Plasma Laun🐷cher⛎ mortar attack will typically target your last known position, so keep moving to stay out of its blast radius.
Sentinel Quadrupeds also have a melee attack. If you see a Sentinel Quadruped drop on its front legs, watch out! It's getting ready to pounce. It's best to activate your Jetpack to avoid getting hit.
Be ready to dodge the Quadruped's flamethrower attack too!
As if these Quadrupeds couldn't get any worse, they can render themselves invisible for two to five seconds at a time. However, you can still spot them if you look for a telltale purple outline.
Quadruped Sentinels can summon Quadruped Swarms--tiny, aggressive versions of themselves that can explode when near. These 🍒enemies should be taken out qꦆuickly to avoid becoming overwhelmed. Luckily, the Swarms have low health and are easily destroyed.
Sentinel Quadrupeds can drop the same items as Sentinel Drones, but Corrupted Quadrupeds can also leave Atlantideum or Cystalized Hearts. That last one is important as you'll need a few to fully repair a Sentinel Multi-Tool.
Good Tactics For Fighting Corrupted Sentinels
Before fighting the Sentinels, it always helps to be prepared. Make sure you've upgraded your Exosuit's shields and health, and upgraded your preferred weapon on your Multi-Tool. As many Corrupted Planets also have hostile atmospheres, it's also helpful to upgrade your Exosuit's hazard protection modules too.
Always focus on destroying Corrupted Sentinel Drones that are healing other Sentinels first. Your second priority should be the Quadruped Swarmers, and then last will be t🥃he Quadruped itself. Killing the weaker Sentinels first removes potential d⛦amage sources and will help you live longer.
Don't immediately crack open Combat Supplies! These containers will often refill your shields, so you'll want to shoot them after your shield starts to run low. Be sure to remember where Combat Supplies have dropped, so you♐ can blast them for a quick shield refill.
If you're still having a tough time fighting Sentinels, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:bring your Minotaur ExoMech to level the playing field--especially if you've upgraded your Minotaur's cannon. There's also a quest that can unlock an AI module that will let your Minotaur fight autonomously by your side.
