Last year, Nintendo was co𒉰nfident that Switch 2 stock wouldn't be an issue, as we saw with the launch of the PS5 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X/S. The company argued that there was no longer a semiconductor shortage, so it would be able to meet the demand for the Switch 2 launch,♐ and most importantly, stop fans from having to rely on scalpers.

Howeveౠr, it doesn't seem that this has panned out as well as Nintendo h💖ad planned. As reported by , company president Shuntaro Furukawa has apologised to shareholders over the inability to meet demand. As it turns out, the Switch 2 is just too damn popular.

The Switch 2 Is Selling Faster Than Nintendo Expected

"Currently, in many countries, the demand forꦆ Switch 2 exceeds the supply, and we are unable to meet it," says Furuawa (machine translated from @NStyles's coverage of the shareholders' Q&A). "We understand that some shareholders have also been unable to obtain it. We started accepting lottery sales at My Nintendo Store in April. The response far exceeded our expectations, and I announced in my name on X that there were 2.2 million applicants, along with an apology."

He goes on to say that there will be a fifth lottery soon, and that availabili🌺ty in stores is "gradually increasing." Even so, he is still apologetic to those who have struggled to get a Switch 2 so far. "As a company, we are working to improve our production system to deliver as many units as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this initial demand, which greatly exceeded our expectations."

This won't come as news to many Nintendo fans, as we've started seeing signs of stores being unable to keep up with the demand. As we reported last week, one store had even been putting Wii U consoles out on its shღelves because there were no Switch 2s to take up the space. They were going for $99.99, if you're interested in pic♌king up this underrated Nintendo console - although with that s♕aid, many of its best games ended up on Switch anyway.

In th🐎e meantime🌸, at least Nintendo is aware of the stock issues with the Switch 2. So, don't go crawling to scalpers just yet - more consoles could be on the way very soon.
