Ninja Gaiden is the complete opposite of Dark Souls in terms of combat, but if you're more familiar/comfortable with soulslikes and want more of an action game edge, Nioh 2 is a perfect game. Developed by Team Ninja, Nioh 2 has all the bells and whistles you'd expect from𒅌 the genre but definitely leans more on the acti🐈on.
It's to the point where the trademark stamina bar, which is a core staple of soulslikes, becomes a non-issue since you essentially have unlimited stamina if you know what you're doing. Nioh 2 is a great game to play if you don't w๊ant🌼 to head immediately into pure action titles like NG and want to experience more of a mixture of pure action and action RPGs.

After playing Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, you must check out the orig༺inal game's Black version. Unlike the sequel, NGB actually is the definitive version of Ninja Gaiden 1, and while many state that NGB is just the original title, with the DLC content and other bonus stuff included, that couldn't be further from the truth.
NGB completely rebalances the game with new enemies, items, difficulty modes, and a plethora of other changes. All these, 💮except the sadly missing Ninja of the Future outfit, are incredible additions and refine the game to its best possible form. Plus, you get the best ve💫rsion of Mission mode in the series. What more can you ask for? Sadly, it remains an Xbox exclusive, so you're out of luck if you play on other platforms.

There's a reason why so many hardcore fans dislike Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, as it still doesn't capture the original game, which remains an Xbox 360 exclusive. The vanilla Ninja Gaiden 2 has such chaotic enemy encounters with a vast amount of enemies that it still feels fresh to this day. The enemy count makes a huge difference in why the original is a lot m🔜ore fun.
Plus, most of the projectile weapons were removed in Black, and they're a treat in the original, especially the destruc💦tive Windmill Shuriken. It's also much more challenging as well, but what if you're worried about the graphics? Don't worry because on Xbox One X or Xbox Series X, the game runs at 4K resolution, making it 🎃hold up extremely well.
