And as for where they're invading, it's Promethea, which debuted in Borderlands 3. It's the home of Atlas HQ but, by Borderlands 3, it's mostly occupied by Maliwan forces. When we find it, it's already a chaotic warzone, which New Tales from the Borderlands looks to be continuing.

You're simply a few average Joes trying to keep your chin up as your home is ripped into by a greedy corporation, although Gearbox is keeping with Telltale tradition as in the first game, promising choices that will define the trajectory of the story.
