Based off these postings, it's abundantly clear that it'll be a new fighting game that could potentially be on Unreal Engine 5. As it stands, Mortal Kombat 1 is on Unreal 4. And that it'll have a robust story mode, which is something that NetherRealm has put an emphasis on.
