Electricity may be one of the wildest, most powerful elements in video games. It’s channeled in bolts, chains from foe-to-foe,🌠 and can even be called down from the sky for massive damage. Those with finer control over it can channel it into physical feats, mess with electri𒈔cal machinery and occasionally revive the dead through some ad-hoc defibrillation.

There are few masters of electricity in games, but those of them that are around are forces to be reckoned with. The strongest among them are powerhouses or even gods, and if you mess with any of these guys, you’re liable to e🍌nd up as a smoking pair of shoes.

7 🧜 Colonel Volgin (Metal Gear Solid 3)🐎

Colonel Volgin Showing Off

Even without his power over electricity, the main antagonist of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Metal Gear Solid 3 is both a champion boxer and skilled, if sadistic, soldier. But with his ability to generate and control 10 million volts of electricity, he’s much more dangerous than your average commanding officer. His power allows him some wild abilities, such as being supernat💃urally strong and durable. It allows him to punch a hole in the Shagohod — something that not even an RPG-7 round could do — and surviving a hit from the same type of RPG.

While he can shoot bolts of lightning, he also likes to hold rifle rounds between his fingers and fire them off by cooking the gunpowder, then using the shells as conductors for h🍨is powerful electric punches. He can also absorb electricity from other sources, and use it to power machinery. Oddly enough, he is not immune to his own electricity, and can short out and harm himself when he gets wet. This leads to him having a fear of thunderstorms𓄧.

6 🃏 ꦦ Ky Kiske (Guilty Gear)

A skilled swordsman and a gifted mage, Ky Kiske is a force to be reckoned with. The deuteragonist counterpart of Sol Badguy in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Guilty Gear series, Ky was a ❀prodigy even amongst the Holy Knights. And since he’s from such an honorable organization, you 💛know that when he hands your ass to you, it will have been a fair fight.

He’s skilled in all forms of magic, but prefers lightning, the hardest element to master. He pairs this with a legendary weapon known as the Thunderseal, which powers-up lightning spells — but only if you’re tough enough to handle it. He can shoot bolts electricity or apply it to his melee attacks, making him a flexible fighter that can keep opponents at bay or keep them pressured at close range. He also has a move called Ride The Lightning. It's as awesome as it sounds.

5 The Sith (Star Wa🍌rs)

Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic - player using force lightning on opponents

Seriously, pick one. From Count Dooku to Starkiller, from Darth Revan to Emperor Palpatine, it seems like the first thing Dark Side Force users learn is to sling electricity — and they're all quite deadly with it. Probably because they skip past all that inner peace nonsense and straight to the fun part.

Maybe it's because Force Lightning is almost purely offensive in use, although there are some niche examples of medical applications, like when Darth Tyranus stabilized General Grievous' heart. Or maybe it’s because it can be used to torture foes before killing them, like Palpatine intended to do to Luke Skywalker. Either way, the Sith are not to be trifled with, because being sliced up by a sweet red laser sword might be the best case scenario if you anger them. If you’re unlucky, you might get tased into a smoking pile of ash instead.

4 ⛦ Cole McGrat𝔍h (Infamous)

2000s Games Infamous Sucker Punch

Cole McGrath is the electrokinetic star of the first two Infamous games, who used his electric powers to great effect. His control over electricity🐟 manifests in various ways, from empowering him in melee combat with his Gigawatt blades, to allowing him to fight at range with lightning bolts and lightning grenades. There are also more esoteric uses, like draining health from his foes, corpse mind-reading, and in at least one case, time travel.

His powers vary depending on whether he’s been good or evil. If he’s evil, his moves become decidedly lethal, hitting groups with chai꧂n lightning that would do Emperor Palpatine proud. As a good guy, his powers aren’t as lethal, but provide more flexibility in combat. Cole’s lightning changes color depending on his karmic alignment as well, with the usual blue glow if he’s a goody two-shoes, and red lightning if you decide to forego the rules. Play evil enough, and you even get black lightning later on.

3 Thor (Marvel’s Avenger🅷s) ꦺ

The Norse wielder of Mjolnir and all-around Asgardian heartthrob — does Thor really need an introduction at this point? Even amongst 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Avengers, the 🔯Odinson is a powerhouse, flying around and throwing down with divine might.

Though he’s good in a scrap and Mjolnir is nothing to mess with, Thor is ultimately the God of Thunder. This is apparent with his God Blast, which traps enemies in a storm before smiting them with a bolt of lightning. Warrior’s Fury also imbues all his moves with lightning and makes teammates invulnerable. Appropriately for someone who controls electricity, he is quite ꦓenergy-efficient. A good amount of his abilities channel more energy into himself, resulting in electrically-empowered moves or shorter cooldowns. As devastat💞ing as he is energy-efficient, Thor is worthy of the title “The Mightiest Avenger”.

2 🌊 Zeus (Smite) 🅠

Zeus - The God of the Sky

The Greek God of the Sky and king of Mount Olympus, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Smite's Zeus is not a god to take lightly. Though he 💮can seem like a frivolous hypocrite, flaunting his own domain of upholding oaths and honesty to carry out infidelities in the form of a swan or a shower of gold, he still commands the power of the skies with impunity.

In his fury, he can bring about the power of storms, and more specifically the lightning they carry. Zeus is more than a match against any god in any pantheon, striking foes with increasingly intense bolts, charging them full of energy that he can detonate at will. He can lock down an area with his ultimate, Lightning Storm, and any who choose to stay within it will not only take damage fr🅰om the strikes, but also take on more charges to be detonated over again.

1 Raiden (Mortal Kombat Series) 🌄

Mortal Kombat - Raiden Using His Electric Abilities

The God of Thunder and guardian of Earthrealm, Raiden is an eternal being and Elder God that puts him a few orders of magnitude above his fellow Kombatants. The only thing stopping him from destroying all threats to Earthrealm is that as a god, he loses his divine powers when he enters other realms. Because of the rules of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Kombat, h🦄e cannot int☂erfere unless he makes himself mortal.

But even as a mortal he is a deadly opponent, since his millenia of existence has given him mastery of many martial arts. Even the fraction of his electric powers he retains as a mortal is more than enough to handle most of his foes. He can teleport, call down lightning, shoot bolts of electricity, and empower his physical hits with electrical fury. When he’s done with you, he can generate enough power to blow off all your limbs and head for good measure. Unfortunately, for all his power, he's not omniscient, and has been known to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:make some foolish decisions. At least it keeps him interesting.
