On 🍬top of introducing this violent character to the game, he brings a strong play st⛄yle that balances power and speed, allowing him to mow down enemies. However, you’ll want to get a feel for his game plan and how to best use him, so spend some time learning the character and his special moves.

Omni-Man Overview

Omni-Man and Scorpion clashing against each other before they fight in Mortal Kombat 1.

Omni-Man is a powerhouse character focused on getting in and taking down opponents with oppressive strikes. He has some powerful combo strings, like🌄 Back 1, 1, which can link into other moves, Kameos, and Specials.

On top of that, his Viltrumite Stance gives him a ton of versatility to deal with various situations, giving him mix-up options to keep the opponent guessing. With some fast lows that can catch the opponent🍰 off-guard, you can easily push the advantagဣe and make your foes scared to act.

However, you may have trouble against characters that can close the distance when you enter your Vlitrumite Stance. For instance, Scorpion and Smoke have excellent ways to get close to you, so you may want to cancel your stance and block based on the situation.

Mid-range characters like Ashrah, Tanya, and Baraka can also be hard to fight if they keep you in their ideal range, allowing them to punish you with minimal repercussions. With that in mind, Omni-Man is a rushdown character that has a way to deal with ranged characters, overcoming a common weakness.

Omni-Man Tips

Omni-Man preparing the last strike of his Fatal Blow in Mortal Kombat 1.

When you play as Omni-Man, you want your opponents to make mistakes, use your powerful moves, and get some combos going. 🥃Speaking of which, you should learn how to convert some of your Viltrumite Stance moves into your o🅠ther attacks.

For example, if you land Up And Away or Teleport Toward, you can combo it into a Back 2, 2, or a 2, 1, Giblet Maker. The sa🦋me applies to your (Air) Invincible Rush, which lets you follow up with different combo strings.

You can also develop some strong and simple combos like this: Back 2, 2, Forward 4, 1, Kameo Launch, Air 2, 1, 2, Enhanced Giblet Maker. Many of his strings combo into each other and his special moves, leaving you with plenty of freedom to have la🍬rge punishꦆes on your opponents.

Play Intimidating, But Not Agressive

With that in mind, you can't throw out special moves with Omni-Man, since your opponents can deal tons of damage if they predict what you'll do. For instance, your Vlitrumite Stance has multiple attacks, but if your opponent blocks them, you'll be left wide open to their attacks.

On the other hand, you can use it to make them play afraid, so you may want to sit in the stance and cancel it, giving you a chance to dash in and close the distance. From there, you can use your normal attacks, such as 1, 2, Forward 3, or Down 4, to poke them and prepare for combos.

Zoning

If you're dealing with a zoner, you can use your (Air) Fly Toward and (Air) Fly Away to change your position. You can't attack out of it, but it can help you get to center stage or close the distance, making them crucial for movement.

Who To Kameo For

You'll quickly pick up that Omni-Man performs well with Kameos with fast projectiles to deal with enemies and combo extenders.

If you need some quick recommendations, you should go with Jax, Kano, or Kung Lao.

Launch Them Into The Air

Since Omni-Man has multiple moves that launch enemies into the air, his Backbreaker ability will allow you to follow up with attacks. Hi💫s Neutral Kaꦍmeo has him punch the ground so you can apply pressure to your enemies while you fly with Viltrumite Stance, forcing them to act and potentially make a mistake.

Character Specific Tips

As for Kano, he provides you with multiple projectiles that you lack, such as his Forward Kameo, which can cover distance quickly. His spinning attack also defeats foes, and with the delayed version, you have ꦏmo🌼re to add to your mix-up game, making him a reliable choice.

As for Kung Lao, he offers a good balance of abilities to help you succeed, such as his Forward Kameo launching enemies into the air. His Neutral Kameo can cancel your end lag and place you behind enemi𓆉es, while your Back Kameo gives you a low-hitting projectile.

You should also try Motaro if you want a teleport and strong projectiles to deal with ranged opponents. Scorpion can help you with rushdown characters, since he can stop them from jumping in or pull you to safety, so feel free to experiment.
