If you're willing to spend meter, you can extend your combos and deal 30 percent or more with some simple input strings.
While Li Mei may seem like a versatile fighter, she will perform best while fighting from a distance and punishing foes foolish enough𒁃 to jump at her without a game plan.
Li Mei performs best against fo🦩es that struggle to close the distance, like Reiko 🍃and General Shao

Li Mei Tips
Li Mei performs best when enemies are away from her, so you'll want to keep them off your back while you fight them. While Li Mei has projectiles to fight off enemie👍s, they tend to 🔴have long start-ups or ending lag, allowing the opponent to punish you if they find a gap in your moves.
Most people associate mix-ups with up-close attacks, but you can use your projectiles and not attacking as a mix-up. For instance, you could input the motion fo⛦r Sky Lantern, but press a different button.
Doing so will cause you to perform an attack or block, causing your character to move. Some players may instantly input a teleport or another move to counter you, but when they teleport behind you, you'll be ready to block their attack and perform your own combo.
Remember that some Kameos can teleport, so you'll need to pay attention to their meters and react accordingly.
Your ultimate goal is to keep your opponents guessing, so they'll second-guess themselves and can't go with their regular game plan. You can then apply pressure and shoot projectiles while making them scared of what you'll do next.
You'll find that Li Mei has the easiest time when she can frustrate opponents into making mistakes. For instance, if you keep shooting Nova Blasts, they may try to jump over your attack. You could then hit them with with a Shi Zi Lion, knocking them away and stopping their advance.
You can also use your Flipping Heel Kick to jump into the air, bait opponents, and punish them. With so many tricks in your arsenal, you'll want to pay attention to your foe, see how they want to fight you, and work against their game plan.
