We can see a few characters in this trailer, but it's primarily focused on the gameplay. It also comes with confirmation that it will have crossplay from launch, letting everyone play together when it hits console and PC next year.
New Monster Hunter Wilds Trailer Released
As you can see in the trailer above, Capcom has a fair amount to show off here. Still, it's sticking with the 2025 release window, and won't be with us any sooner than that. We didn't even get it narrowed down any further than that, so we don't know if it's aiming to be an early 2025 release, or later that year. We'll likely find out later in the summer, perhaps at Gamescom in August.
Just before the trailer was shown off, it was confirmed that the game will have crossplay from launch. This means that we can team up with whoever we want, regardless of what platform they're on.

The State of Play trailer already gave us a look at the new gameplay, but perhaps most importantly, it introduced a character who's already a firm fan favourite. Before even playing the game, the fanbase seems to have fallen in love with Gemma, a smithy who will appear in Monster Hunter Wilds. The community loves her so much that they managed to get the "dating sim" tag added to Monster Hunter Wilds Steam p😼age - which might be a little bit optimistic on their part, but we'll see.
Monster Hunter 🎐Wilds is launching sometime in 2025. It will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, leaving last-gen consoles behind.
Monster Hunter Wilds follows on from Monster Hunter Rise, which launched exclusively on Nintendo Switch back in 2021, before getting 🃏ported to other platforms at a later date. Curiously, it looks like Wilds is skipping the Switch altogether, but that could change when Nintendo finally unveils its next-gen console, also expected to launch next year.
