Originally introduced in Monster Hunter World, Mantles are a unique tool that gives you some unique effects when equipped. These can be as simple as making it much harder for a monster to see you, to passively restoring your HP over time. They are immensely helpful, and so it is with great joy that they return in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter Wilds.

That said, there are quite a few fewer present than in 💃World, and they are very spread out in how you acquire them. Thankfully, you can't miss any of them either so you'll have plenty of options when it comes to hunting. Or here is every Mantle in the game, how to get it, and what it does.

What Are Mantles?

A description of the purpose of mantles in monster hunter wilds.

Mantles are what the game classes as 'Specialist Tools'. A very specific phrase since basically nothing else is within the category other than Mantles. Two can be brought with you at a time, the Ghillie Mantle and then another of your choice. Every Mantle has its own cooldown as well, so you can swꦉap them on the fly to get a꧃ new effect.

You can set a shortcut in the Radial Menu to let you use your currently equipped Mantle, rather than having to specify a specific one.

Mantles visually degrade as they grow closer to being depleted, though how long they will last can also be seen in the bottom right corner of the screen beside your items. There is a multi-minute cooldown on Mantles, so make sure to only use them when absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, you cannot unequip the Ghillie Mantle, but you can change them at any camp in the middle of a hunt if necess🐽ary.

Each Mantle And What It Does

There are a grand total of five Mantles in Monster Hunter Wilds, including the Ghillie Mantle that you are given by defaul🌜t. All of them are quite distinct from one another, fitting different monsters and playstyles. Here's what each of them does:

Mantle Name

Mantle Effect

Hunter wearing the ghillie mantle in monster hunter wilds.

Ghillie

Makes you invisible to monsters, even when running. Ends when you perform an attack or🌺 ar🍨e hit.

Hunter wearing the rocksteady mantle in monster hunter wilds.

Rocksteady

Inc✨reases defense, prevents damage reactions, and grants protection against roars, tremors, and wind pressure.

Hunter wearing the mending mantle in monster hunter wilds.

Mending

After a few seconds of equipping, restores a massive amount of HP, and then slowly restores health for a briefꦯ while.

Hunter wearing the evasion mantle in monster hunter wilds.

Evasion

Extends invulnerability period while dodging, and increases attackꦚ power temporarily if you dodge at the last second.

Hunter wearing the corrupted mantle in monster hunter wilds.

Corrupted

Slo🍸wly drains HP over time while equipped, but increases your attack power and affinity with every hit landed.

The Ghillie Mantle is the most basic of all, though can be very helpful if you want to avoid a fight with a specific monster or guarantee you get that sneak attack. The Rocksteady and Mending Mantles are great for easing the difficulty, letting you attack uninhibited and passively healing you respectively.

The Evasion and Corrupted Mantles require a bit more finesse to pull off. The Evasion Mantle makes it easier to dodge, though it won't show its greatest benefits unless you are comfortable dodging right at the last moment. For the Corrupted Mantle, the passive HP drain means you should only use it in the midst of combat, and have to be incredibly careful not to be defeated while wearing it. It is a very Risk vs. Reward Mantle.

How To Unlock Every Mantle

Every Mantle is unlocked as part of the story, and can be acquired by speaking with Gemma at any of the Base Camps around the world. After being given a new Mantle, just head to your tent to change your equipment, and you can🅠 equip your seꦫcondary Mantle from there.

While you can't miss any of them, they are mostly unlocked by the end of the story. Here's exactly when each of them are unlocked.

  • Ghillie Mantle - Unlocked by default.
  • Rocksteady Mantle - Unlocked after defeating Nu Udra as part of the story.
  • Mending Mantle - Unlocked after defeating Xu Wu as part of the story.
  • Evasion Mantle - Unlocked after defeating Frenzied Nerscylla as part of the story.
  • Corrupted Mantle - Unlocked after defeating Gore Magala as part of the story.

The Ghillie, Rocksteady, and Mending Mantles are all unlocked during the Low Rank section of the story. The Evasion and Corrupted Mantles are both unlocked during the post-game High Rank section of the story. Morওe Mantles may be added later, but they are sitting at a comfortable five mantles for now, all of them mandatory.
