Buy And Upgrade Gear From Blacksmiths

There are three ways to change your power output in Monster Hunter Stories:

• The weapon you equip for use in battle, all of which have their own stats and may offer additional moves or elemental attacks based on the materials used to build them.
• Your armor of choice - it's not just aesthetics that matter in Monster Hunter Stories, so be mindful about the defense stats and elemental resistances offered by each piece of armor.
• Finally, the Talisman you keep on your Rider will offer a different perk the whole time you're wearing

You'll find 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:base model armor and weapons by visiting the Blacksmith shop you'll find in the majority of major settlements in Monster Hunter Stories, labeled as Armory & Smithy on the in-game menu. Things you buy here can be equipped from the Equipment screen in the Camp menu.

Where To Find The Blacksmiths

The first Blacksmith you'll meet is in Hakum Village, just next to the shop in the center of town. Upgrade Gear You've Already Gotten

Not only can you buy new gear outright for Zenny, but after you've purchased it, you can also then choose to upgrade your gear a few levels by way of bringing the Blacksmith a set of specific resources (most often me🌸🎃tals or monster parts, or some combination of the two).

Upgraded gear always earns stat boosts when you purchase said upgrade, and if you upgrade the same piece of gear enough times, it may even evolve into another, stronger piece of gear after enough upgrades, gear that you won't be able to purchase outright in the game and must obtain in this way.

When looking at the upgrade screen, blue stats mean you'll be gaining points for this stat or element with this upgrade and improving on a stat you've already got, while red stats will instead be lower than the current stat, so measure upgrad෴es according t💖o your play style.

Though you can find new ones, we haven't been𒈔 able to upgrade Talismans, only armor and weapons.

Forge Quests Require Monster Parts, But Offer Elemental Attack/Defense

When you reach Gildegaran, the Hunter city you're initially barred from heading toward in the earliest hours of the game, you'll find that the Blacksmith here is capable of offering Forge Quests, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:which are Subquests he'll track for use that offer monster-based weapons and armor, which you'll earn the right to make by bringing parts from that monster in question, as well as ಞth𝓰e Zenny to pay the Blacksmith for his work.

Forge Quest gear is the best way to gain elemental resistances and stat bonuses, but you'll notice that most of them are specialized gear. While the normal weaponry and armor you can buy outright typically offers blanket protection in some way, most specialized Forge Quest gear is focused on attacking with or defending from the element of the monster whose parts you used to make the gear.

For example, if you're using a weapon made from 🐽parts of monsters that have fire attacking capabilities, you'll likely notice that you'll have a fire elemental attack when you have that particular weapon equipped. Th🅘e armor, meanwhile, would offer excellent fire resistance, but little if any resistance against the other four elements.

Therefore, you'll need to choose the right time to use this gear - even if it's some of the most powerful gear, the specialized stats may be tough to use for beginner players, and limited-scope bonuses are easier to use when you'v🙈e begun memo🌊rizing how monsters attack during battle.
