The list of breedable mobs in Minecraft just keeps getting bigger and bigger. If you’re struggling to figure out which ones you should include in your animal farm, it turns out that some mobs have more uses than others. Here a🦹re all of the breedable mobs in Minecraft, ranked from least to most useful.

17 Axolotl

Lush Caves

XP

Bucket of tropical fish

Axolotls may be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:interesting animals in Minecraft, but other than being a cool addition to an aquarium, they don't have much use. If you're doing some underwater exploration, axolotls will attack hostile mobs and do little to no damage.

Considering they don’t drop anything other than experience orbs, it’s safe to say you don&rsqᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚuo;t need to farm axolotls in your lush cave.

16 Hoglin

A hoglin in Minecraft

Biome

Drops

Bred with

Nether - Crimson Forest, Bastion Remnant

XP, Leather, Raw porkchop

Crimson fungi

Only spawning in the Nether, the hoglin is the one of just two hostile mobs that can be bred, along with the killer bunny. They’re a decent source of XP considering each hoglin will drop five experience orbs, but they’re more trouble than they’re worth.

You could get all of a hoglin’🐈s drops from a cow and a pig, so there’s not much🍌 of a reason to go all the way to the Nether for these mobs.

15 Strider

A group of Striders in Minecraft

Biome

Drops

Bred with

Nether - Lava Sea, Delta, Nether W⛦astes, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Soul Sand Valley, Basalt Deltas

XP, String

Warped fungus

Striders can only be found in the Nether and are surprisingly useful because they can walk on lava. Just strap a saddle to the back of one of these bad boys, craft warped fungus on a stick and you could stride through lava.

Thankfully, st🥃riders are passive mobs,🐽 so they won’t attack you like other mobs in the Nether. Striders mind their own business.

14 Fox

Biome

Drops

Bred with

Taiga, Grove

XP, Emerald (1%), Rabbit's Foot (2%), Rabbit Hide (2%), Egg (3%), Wheat (4%), Leather (4%), Feather (4%)

Sweet berries, Glow berries

Foxes are unique in that they can sometimes be found holding an item in their mouth. It could be anything from a rare emerald 💞to a piece of leather.

The chances of a fox actually 🍷holding an item are quite low and they love to roam around, making them a bad choice 🍌for those looking to start an emerald farm.

13 Cat &aജmp; Oce𒀰lot

Bred with

Villages, Swamp Huts, Jungle

XP, String

Raw cod, Raw salmon

Raw cod, Raw salmon

Cats and ocelots are great companions. Their presence can spruce up a village and they’re also a good source of string, but that’s about it.

Neither of these animals will defend you if you’re under attack. If anything, they like to get in the way by lying on top of your bed and chests. They're a bit of a pain.

12 Panda

Biome

Drops

Bred with

Jungle, Bamboo Jungle

XP, Bamboo

Bamboo

Pandas are found in bamboo jungles. They drop bamboo and eat bamboo. It’s safe to say you’ll never have to worry about bamboo if you have a panda farm. To mate, ther🌸e must be at least eight bamboo blocks within a five-block radius of both pandas. Once that condition is met, feeding them bamboo will make them breed.

Fun fact, baby pandas have a chance to drop a slimeball when they sneeze. 🍸It’s cute, but also kind of gross.

11 Turtle

A turtle on the beach in Minecraft

Biome

Drops

Bred with

Beach

XP, Seagrass

Seagrass

Turtles serve little purpose in Minecraft because they’re all about seagrass. When they breed, the pregnant turtle gets bigger and eventually digs a spot for her eggs. You can’t do anything with these turtle eggs and it’s easier to farm seagrass by swimming down to the ocean floor.

If killed by lightning, the turtle wil🅰l turn into a bowl, which is both sad and hilarious at the same time.

10 Rabbit

Four different colored rabbit in Minecraft

Biome

Drops

Bred wih

Taiga, Grove, Meadow, Desert, Forest, Mountains

XP, Rabbit Hide, Raw Rabbit, Rabbit's Food (10%)

Carrot, Golden Carrot, Flowers

The rabbits in Minecraft are so cute, which is one of the reasons why they’re a common pet in the game. Their rabbit hide is useful for creating bundles and their rabbit’s foot is necessary to brew some potions.

Sadly, rabbit meat is one of♛ the worst foods in the game, restori💛ng only five hunger points per cooked rabbit.

9 Llama & Trader Llama 🧸 ꦯ

A herd of llamas on a mountaintop in Minecraft

Biome

Drops

Tamed with

Bred with

Windswept Hills, Windswept Forest, Savanna

XP, Leather

Repeated mounting

Hay Bales

Llamas are a bit confusing. They must be mounted multiple times to be tamed, but you can’t actually put a saddle on them and ride them. This means that, while you can equip a llama with a chest, you’ll have to use a lead to keep it near you.

Having an animal on a lead can get annoying really quickly because it l𝄹imits your mobility.

8 Goat

A group of goats in Minecraft

Biome

Drops

Bred with

Mountains

XP, Goat Horns, Milk

Wheat

Goats are a fairly useful addition to the Minecraft animal family, so 🌊there are a lot of things you need to know about these critters. In the Bedrock Edition, goats can drop goat horns if they smack into a solid block.

Using goat horns makes the same horn sound tha🥂t can be heard when a raid starts. Goats can also be milked, just like cows so they have a fair 🍒amount of uses.
