A Clean Shop Is A Happy Shop

Before you go about building the grand factory or huge castle of your dr𒉰eams, you should probably clear some space on your map. There's no wrong place to start building in the Create mod, but it doesn't hurt to tak♔e the time to figure out where to start.

Clear a whole section of forest, find the perfect seed, or go deep underground. It's a🐲ll up to you. Wherever your workshop is, remember to make a note of where all those important materials are. You'd hate to lose track of your experiments.

With the Mechanical Saw, you can chop down a tree instantly. Simply place the sawblade facing the bottom block of wood, and then use a Hand ඣCrank to generate some rotational🃏 force, causing the blade to activate and chop down the tree.

Block𓂃s will then fall in the opposite direction as if the tree actually fell down. What's more, all the leaves will be gone! You can then run and collect everything that dropped from the tree. Glue is the key to many of your wildest ideas and contraptions. It's a simple tool that lets you stick two or more objects together, but the possibilities grow from there. This is the key to making 🌜large, complex factories or even moving castles.

The glue tool has been modified a bit fromཧ the super glue tool of earlier Create update🐠s. Now, instead of using a glue cube or flat plane, you simply right-click on two objects, sticking them together at a fixed point.

Cogwheels are a cornerstone of Create. Most early-game machines need them, and you will never have enough. Cogwheels are necessary for both creating and powering machines. You can make small ones in stacks of eight, and big ones in stacks of two, using wood and Andesite alloy. • Wind
• Steam

A Water Wheel may be your first source of energy, but it's slow and will really only be good for early machines. Once you move on, you'll want to look into some of the faster energy sources, which will be able to keep up wﷺith your advancements. Equipped with your goggles, you'll be able to see the Kinetic Stress Impact an ener﷽gy source has on a machine.

If a machine needs more energy than the source is outputting, you'll get an𓄧 error about the source being Overstressed. At that point, you may need to graduate to a new energy sou🐻rce if you can't find a way to speed up the one you have.

Note that speed and Stress are two different things. Speed is measured by rotations per minute (RPM) and is measured in increments of two, while Stress is measured in increments of 12. You'll need to 🌳fi🦩gure out how to keep your stress low and speed high to get things done.
