Shelob Memories In Minas Ithil

Minas Ithil is the first region you'll explore in Shadow of War, and is where you'll find the first three Shelob Memories scattered around the map.

There are three Shelob Memories in each region, and finding every set grants you one skill point. Each individual memory gives us a glimpse into Shelob's backstory and the history she shares with the main antagonist of the game.

It is possible to find these memories without using the Haedir towers, but they can still be used to find other collectibles like the Gondorian artifacts and Ithildin.

Once you've found a memory, you have to interact with it to solve a puzzle that involves rotating a shattered image until you find the angle that fits the pieces together.

You can turn and rotate the pieces until you can hear whispering noises, which gradually become louder as you get closer to the correct alignment of the picture.

Shelob Memory #1

Notes

The first memory can be found to the left of the amphitheatre. It sits within this building to the north of the map.

You can find this memory by heading north of the map and to the left of the amphitheater. A small tower overlooks a ruined fou❀ntain surrounded by four columns.

Shelob Memory #2

Notes

You can find this memory in the amphitheatre within the tunnel furthest from the Haedir.

The entrance is at the back of the amphitheater, directly across the one closest to the Haedir tower. It is inside the entrance to the right.

Shelob Memory #3

Notes

This memory can be found inside of a cave at the most southern point of the map.

Coincidentally, this memory is just behind your position as the cinematic ends. Going back to this spot you'll find that there are two large barricades blocking the entrance from view. The memory sits at the back of the cave.

Shelob Memories In Cirith Ungol

Cirith Ungol is a mixture between man-made structures and natural rock formations.

The region, Cirith Ungol, can be described as a large, rocky, and cavernous environment with the region's fortress situated on the edge of a cliff.

This region is also the home of Shelob, according to the game's canon. The region has several tunnels and passages that lead to open spaces where ruins have been occupied by and used as Uruk outposts. The beasts you'll typically find here are Ghuls and Spiders.

You can find this memory in a cave that opens up to a larger area. Coming in from the south you'll notice the three rock-huts just through that passage.

This memory can be found near the water's edge right next to some ruins.

This memory is near the edge of the water, to the left of a ruined building with the Haedir tower close by.

Shelob Memory #6

Notes

You can find this memory on a platform.

There are a bunch of Uruks in this area, so you can either go in sword in hand or sneak around. You have to make your way up the scaffolding to reach this memory.

Shelob Memories In Nurnén

Nurnen - a region which is still mostly forest and natural structures.

Nurnén, in contrast to all the other regions, has a lot of green and natural scenery. It's a refreshing sight to see, since much of the other regions' colors can seem monotone.

In this region, you'll encounter two supporting characters known as Brúz and Carnan. You'll also be introduced to new activities such as the Fight Pits and capturing fortresses.

Shelob Memory #7

You can find this memory in a cavern behind a waterfall.

You can see the waterfalls as you're standing on the Haedir tower. Make your way over there and climb up the rock wall next to the waterfall to the right. You'll find a cave entrance behind the water, go inside, and you'll see the memory.

Shelob Memory #8

Notes

This memory is located in a shallow cave outside of an Uruk outpost.

The easiest way to find this cave entrance is to go the Haedir tower inside this outpost and look directly at the mountain. The memory isn't that deep inside the cave, you'll be able to see it as you turn the corner after the entrance.

Shelob Memory #9

Notes

This memory is located inside of a cave across the fort in Nurnen.

The entrance to this cave is across the entrance of the fort. As you enter the cave, there is a ledge to your left. At the top you'll find the memory. Two torches and spider webs mark the area.

Shelob Memories In Seregost

Seregost with its snowy mountains and frozen lakes.

Seregost is the region where you'll encounter the most vertical terrain, as the region is surrounded by steep mountains and also includes a frozen lake.

Seregost is one of the last two regions you'll be able to explore after completing main quests in Nurnén. The region is filled with Caragors and Frost Graugs. It's also the region where you'll have your last encounter with a particular enemy.

This memory can be found in a cave marked by this wooden structure.

This memory's location is straightforward, as you can find it by going to the left as you stand in front of the fort's gate. The wooden structure marks the cave entrance. The memory is a🐬t the back of it, across the gap.

This memory is tucked away in the corner of this cave above a few crates.

This memory is tucked away in the corner of this cave system, above and behind a few crates. The entrance can be spotted from the front of the fort to right, just behind the fort's walls. The cave splits into two directions, the memory is down the left path.

Shelob Memory #12

Notes

The memory can be spotted from the outside, making it easy to find.

For this memory, you can still face the front of the fort. Look back over your right shoulder, past the cranes you'll see a tall rock wall with a ledge at the top. The entrance is to the left of the small fire and the memory is just inside.

Shelob Memories in Gorgoroth

The Gorgoroth region is built on a volcanic foundation, with Barad-dûr just behind it..

Gorgoroth is one of the last regions, along with Seregost, you'll unlock after completing some of the main quests. This region is made up of several volcanic plains, including♊ the large volcano just outside theꦏ playable boundary.

You'll find that the majority of enemies you'll encounter here have fire weapons, and there are several Drakes and Flame Graugs in the surrounding area.

You can find this memory in one of the lava pits, behind some framework.

You'll be able to find this memory by traversing down the pit's scaffolding. You'll see this hollowed out area next to the lava falling into the pit. The memory is tucked into the back of this area.

Shelob Memory #14

Notes

This memory can be missed if you're going too fast. Look out for this tunnel within the cave.

You can see the cave entrance to your left from the Haedir tower. This tunnel is situated on the inside of that cave, to the right and close to the entrance. It can be missed easily if you're sprinting.

Shelob Memory #15

Notes

This cave is based in the centre of the map.

This memory is located in the center of the region inside a large cave. The entrance can be spotted from the buildings standing across it. Beware of the caragors whi🔯ch the game tends to spawn here.

The Final Shelob Memory

The last memory reveals the entire vision, as well as the aftermath.

The final Shelob Memory reveals all the memories as a short cinematic, which also shows what happened in the aftermath of the events that take place within those memories.

This memory is located in Cirith Ungol, and can be found near the Haedir tower that sits on the across the map from the fort. Facing the direction of the fort, there's a cave to your bottom-left. The memory isn't that deep inside the cave, and can be found sitting by the wall to the left.

After completing this memory you'll unlock the skill, Cluster of Spiders, which allows you to summon a swarm of spiders instead of followers.
