Nothing stops progress through the dungeons in like꧒ the loss of all your party's MP. Persona veterans will find this to be a familiar pain; Metaphor's MP troubles are synonymous with the SP resource management in Atlus' school-based IP.

🔯 Metaphor: ReFa𓃲ntazio - Achievement/Trophy Guide

Here's how to unlock every tr𓂃ophy and achievement in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

The good news ꩵis that there are several ways to lessen your MP-based burden. Some are so handy, in fact, that you'll seldom bump into Persona-tier roadblocks. We've compiled our favorite ways to restore (or maintain) your MP in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and we reckon you'll find them just as handy as we did. Don't let that dungeon-crawling end earl🍬y!

The Mage Archetype's Overworld Ability

Traveling through the Tomb of Lament in Metaphor ReFantazio.

This is the best way to restore MP in Metaphor: ReFantazio, at least in the early stretch of the game. Every Archetype has what is called a Hero Passive; this is something for the protagonist only as it's often tied to overworld combat.

By overworld combat, we mean just that - fighting enemies when you encounter them on a map rather than a squad battle. The Mage Archetype's Hero Passive is called Magic Recovery.

With Magic Recovery, you'll regain one MP for every enemy you stun or slay in the overworld. Now, yes, one MP is not exactly much. But you can spam this over and over by clearing and re-clearing rooms with weak enemies to regain heaps of MP.

This is pretty much the only reliable way to ensure that you have little difficulty clearing the first major dungeon, Regalith Grand Cathedral, in a single day. Mind you, you don't have to do it one day, but wouldn't it be nice to have as much free time as pꦕossible?

Steal-Farming

Tarunda in Metaphor ReFantazio.

When Heismay joins your party, you'll have someone with the Thief Archetype. Naturally, thieves possess the Steal skill. When used, an attempt is made to pilfer an item from an enemy.

Not all enemies have items, and you won't always be successful; success rate is dictated by the Thief's Agility stat relative to the enemy's, with a percentage chance add✤ed into the🐷 equation.

Thisꦓ🍨 makes Heismay the ideal candidate for stealing, as it happens. Makes sense!

At any rate, the idea is to find enemies with Magla items and steal from them repeatedly. Magla Potions and their upper-tier variants are designed to be scarce. You're not expected to have more th♏an a handful at a time.

One enemy we've seen players cite for this is the Papyros in the Giant Sandworm's Nest dungeon. We didn't do this ourselves, but this would be a great early-ish source of theoretically unlimited Magla Potions.

How Long Does It Take To Beat Metaphor: ReFantazℱio?

Here'sꦍ how long it'll take to complete Metaphor Re:Fantazio.

Plunder Magic

Metaphor ReFantazio image of Heismay and the Thief Archetype.

This one's pretty situational; it actually also involves the Thief Archetype. Thieves learn the Plunder Magic skill at level 11. For one MP, your Thief steals MP from an enemy. Needless to say, you get several times more MP than you expended.

So long as you have that single magic point on tap, you can use this plenty of times to restore all your MP throughout several battles. The obvious down side is that this will only aid the Thief, but if you want to get real dedicated, you could always turn everyone into Thieves.

Heal With Your Knight

Hulkenberg, Strohl, and the protagonist in the Regalith Grand Cathedral in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

File this under "things we didn't expect to be so useful." The Knight Archetype's base class, the titular Knight, learns the First Aid skill at level 5.

First Aid provides weak healing for one ally, and is only usable from the menu. That sounds pretty crummy when we put it like that, right? But here's the thing - how often are you going to use your Knight's MP stockpile, otherwise?

Certainly, the Knight will need some MP for moves like Jump Thrust. But relative to an actual Healer? For two MP, you can top off your party's HP on a routine basis from a pool of magic poin🍨ts that will often be left by the wayside, otherwise.

HP restoration items are obviously even better about preserving MP, since, well, they don't involve spending any MP, whatsoever. But money can be scarce in Metaphor, especially early on, so it can be difficult to carry enough of these to never require spellcasting.
