Get out of my memory card.
The secret is finally out thanks to the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series, which💖 is a documentarღy on the iconic series, featuring David Hayter. The third episode of the series confirmed the theories of many fans, that Suzetta Miñet was actually a pseudonym for none other than Jodi Benson, the original voice actor of Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
The Mermaid's Out Of The Bag
So the question stands, why did Jodi Benson not use her real name for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater? In the episode the documentary, Hayter asked Benson the question which fans have been wanting to know the answer to for decades. Her answer act🦋ually made a lot of sense if you consider what else she's famous for.
"So, when we recorded, you and I were in the studio together back in 2003. Just, the various projects that I am affiliated with i🐽n my career are sort of family based, children based, things like that," explained Benson.
"So, it was actually Kris Zimmerman Salter, that was our director, that she kind of sat down with me and she’s like, maybe we need to change your name. So she asked me, 'What was your dog’s name growing up?' And I said, Suzette Monet, so she’s like, 'You know what? Let’s build on that. How about Suzetta? How about instead of Monet, like the artist, we’ll do Minet?' and I was like, sounds like aಞ deal!

I’m Worried For Metal Gear S💞olid 4’s Inevitable Return
Guns of the Patriots will be leaving behind its🎶 PS3 exclusivity for the first time ever, and I hope it's done justice.
Benson explained that since she was a part of many family based projects like T𝔍he Little Mermaid, perhaps being credited in an action spy thriller like MGS3: Snake Eater may affect those projects. So, for the safety of everyone, the pseudonym was used, and she was never credited by name for the game.
However, she revealed that there were plenty of fans who knew about it, with one even asking her to sig♛n a copy of the game at a convention. Word never got out on a widespread basis tho🌊ugh, until now.
