March 2020 is both the 3rd anniversary of Mass Effect Andromeda and the 8th anniversary of Mass Effect 3 and despite this milestone, there is still no word of what is next in store for the Mass Effect franchise. That said, the one thing that is known for sure is that the franchise, in some way, shape, or form, will continue. One of the likeliest options for the series is to hold its head high and move past into a sequel that can keep the exciting plotlines the game started while moving past the spin-off's errors. With that in mind, here are ten squadmates we'd like to see join the crew in Mass Effect Andromeda 2.
10 Hanar
One of the best jokes of the Mass Effect series is the vid franchise "Blasto." The blockbuster series follows the adventures of the titular Blasto, the first Hanar Spectre. The intergalactic agent employs as many guns as he does cheesy one-liners as he saves the galaxy from threats oddly similar to those faced by Commander Shepard. Shepard is even given a chance to make a cameo appearance in the latest Blasto movie during Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC.
It's time that joke became a reality for the games and a representative of the Hanar go𒐪t to swing all six tentacles into action. The Hanar provides a very unique point of view as nearly the entire species are religious fanatics of some sort with most believing that they are the chosen people of the god-like En🔴kindlers aka Protheans. Their arrival on the Quarian Ark would be a welcome change of pace from the typical squadmate pool.
9 Elcor
Another fan-favorite but underutilized species are the Elcor. These enormous creatures' unique speech patterns and goofy appearances make them standouts of any scene they're in. Like the Hanar, they're a part of one the series best jokes with Mass Effect 2's constant advertisements for an all-Elcor rendition of Hamlet.
The jokes about the species are easy, but Mass Effect 3 put them into a new light. When the Reaper War commences, the Elcor stand tall and fight back which begs the question... how? The answer: "Proudly: With cannons, mounted on our backs." Mass Effect has had some hard-hitting 𝕴squadmates before but never aꩲny that doubled as artillery. With unrestrained excitement: Please give the people what they want.
8 Akksul
One of the most interesting aspects of Andromeda was the First Contact complications. Things went sour with Kett almost immediately but the situation with the Angara was far more complicated. That complication was in large part due to Akksul, a talented tactician and charismatic leader who 🉐i෴ncites the more xenophobic amongst his people against any and all aliens.
Depending on the choices Ryder made, Akksul can either end up dead or deposed of his position. If it's the latter, which is unequivocally the "good" version of events, then Akksul is set on a path to learn the error of his ways, a path that could, in theory, lead him to the Tempest. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Akksul may be a terrible shot but hꦓe would provide an interesting and wildly different Angaran perspective than previous squadmate Jaal brought to the table.
7 Senna'Nir
The first of two characters on this list from the game's tie-in novel, Mass Effect Andromeda: Annihilation. Senna'Nir vas Keelah Si'yah was the runner-up choice for the role of Quarian Pathfinder. He's a brilliant mechanic and, unique among his species,𓆏 is a hardcore AI sympathizer who believes the Quarian people's bad parenting is responsible for the Geth's uprising rather t🌟han the Geth themselves.
Senna is instrumental in solving the crisis the Keelah Si'yah faces and saving everyone on board. He's also in possession of an illegal Ancestor VI, making him the only Quarian in Andromeda that can boast 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a genuine connection to their past. This perspective, along with his views on AI and engineering skills, woul🔴d make an exc👍ellent addition to The Tempest, particularly with regards to any new Remnant technology.
6 ꧋ Anax Therion
The second Annihilation char🐻acter, Anax Therion has an unrivaled talent for manipul♊ation that she used to gather information in her past life as an agent of The Shadow Broker and now puts to work as a detective on the Quarian Ark. Her investigative skills are just as important in saving the Si'yah as Senna's engineering ones.
Her keen mind and talent with firearms and biotics would be invaluable to Ryder's continuing investigations and battles with the Kett. She would be particularly valuable in the investigations into the death of Initiative founder Jien Garson and her and Alec Ryder's relationships with the mysterious benefactor. Plus, Mass Effect is more than due for another Drell 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:romance option.
5 😼 Awakened Kett
One of the cooler elements of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer was the ability to play as an Awakened Collector. The Collectors are a race of Reaper slaves converted from Protheans who served as the main antagonists of Mass Effect 2. However, during the Leviathan DLC some of their connections to the Reapers were severed a🐻nd they were ablꦺe to regain autonomy and fight alongside the Milky Way species.
With that precedent set, it would be awesome to apply it to the similarly snatched Kett and make this new ally a member of the team. Andromeda shows that the exalted Angara are not completely gone, with many of them plagued by dreams of their former lives. If that's the case, then it's not too big of a stretch to see one of them come all the way back. This Awakened Kett would have invaluable insight into the Kett empire and introduce 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a🏅 completely nꦰew set of abilities to the squad.
4 Jardaan
One of the biggest mysteries of Andromeda was the missing Jardaan people. They were a highly advanced race that not only built all the Remnant bots and the vault terraforming network but they even created life from scratch in the form of the Angaran people. Aside from that, little is known about them other than their disappearance is linked in some way to the presence of 𒆙the Scourge phenomenon that plagues all of Andromeda꧟.
Bringing back at least one Jardaan to join the crew would provide a lot of answers and create some fascinating dynamics wherever the crew of the Tempest lands, especially if they're around any Angarans. There's even precedent set for a resurrection like this with the introduction of Javik in Mass Effect 3.
3 ﷽ Geth Stowaway
One of the most popular characters in the entire Mass Effect series is Legion, a Geth unit sent to aid Shepard-Commander in his fight against the Old Machines (the Reapers). The synthetic species removal from Andromeda🍸 was one of the most disappointing elements from the game's outs🐓et.
So why not then take the chance to rectify that? The coming fifth and final Ark was already home to Quarians, Elcor, Drell, Hanar, Volus, and Batarians so who's to say that a Geth or two couldn't have 💛stowed away as well?
2 Vorcha
Another Milky Way race that has never really gotten a chance to shine,꧅ the Vorcha are essentially sentient cockroaches. They tend to dwell in disgusting places, make for unsavory company, and are very tough to kill. That said, they are not completely barbaric as seen with the Vorcha actor performing alongside Shepard in "Blasto 7: Blasto Goes to War!"
The Vorcha aren't exactly the tankiest species out there but they possess a rapid healing ability that would m𒆙ake them stand out from the combat mechanics of every other squadmate. Plus, they're insanely vicious and their inclusion would provide ample opportunity for comedy with the rest of the squaౠd reacting to their Vorcha companion's unsettling intensity.
1 PeeBee
When Andromeda comes to a close it's easy to see most squadmates moving on. Vetra seems ready to finally build a new life that doesn't revolve around killing and smuggling, Jaal is given the opportuni𒁃ty he's always wanted in the Resistance, and Drack has grown to accept how important he is to his clan. Even the squadmates who'd definitely rather stay like Cora and Liam seem to have finished their respective character arcs. The one notable exception is PeeBee.
Aka Pelessaria B'Sayle, PeeBee ends the first game having finally found a home on the Tempest and unlike the other squadmates has a clear task ahead of her: understanding the Remnant and the Jardaan. Her expertise will be crucial to any sequels as those areas of study will almost assuredly remain central to the plot. On top of that, she's one of the most consistently entertaining squadmates Mass Effect has ever produce𓃲d and sparks some of the gaဣmes' most enjoyable banter, particularly when paired with Drack.
