Summary

  • A plush based on Elephant Mario's design in Super Mario Bros. Wonder was revealed in 2023, and for the first time the plush is available in the US.
  • The Amazon listing for the Elephant Mario plush is now live, and if it's sold out, keep checking back as it will likely be periodically restocked.
  • Still no sign of the other Wonder characters who turn into elephants getting their own plushes, but hopefully that will change is the Mario one sells well enough.

Even though Nintendo still hasn't confirmed it will be releasing the Switch's successor in 2025, one look at its 2024 slate serves as relatively concrete evidence that's the case. There are still games coming, but there's an argument to be made that the last tentpole release on the Switch was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Bros. Wonder. A game famed for tu🥃rning Mario and his supporting cast into elephants, and fans iꦇn Japan were lucky enough to then see Elephant Mario turned into a plush soon after.

Nintendo was so confident in the success of Wonder, and Mario fans falling in love with its mascot in an elephant form, that it reveal♊ed the plush before Wonder had even been released. Howe🤡ver, it was only available in Japan. While it's never a sure thing, especially when it comes to Nintendo, if a product like this sells well enough in Japan, then it will likely be released elsewhere, anꦇd that has now happened with Elephant Mario.

It's a GameStoꦿp Canada exclusive for now, but will hopefully be rolled out with pre-orders elsewhere soon.

The plush now has a listing on Amazon in the US that you can check out below, although it appears to be sold out at the moment. That's to be expected with a product as popular as this one, especially since the listing has been live for less than 24 hours at the time of typing this. It may be a case of Amazon adding stock of the plush in batches to avoid the page crashing and to stop scalpers getting them all. Whatever's going on with Elephant Mario, i𒀰t's worth checking back periodically if the plush isn't in stock right now as it likely will be again very soon.

Securing An Elephant Mario Plush To Call Your Own

Super Mario Bros. Wonder Elephant Mario Plush

Super Mario Bros. Wonder introduced new power-ups to the Mushroom Kingdom, one of which turns Mario into an elephant when consumed. Elephant Mario was quickly turned into a plush perfectly replic♛ating how the character looks in eleph💝ant form in the Nintendo Switch game.

The plush is $24.99 and is ten inches tall, and if it sells well enough outside of Japan, perhaps we will see the rest of the Wonder cast get elephant plushes too. Luigi, Daisy, Peach, and Toad can all turn into elephants too, but none of them have been turned into plushes like Mario, at least not yet. For now, we should probably just appreciate Wonder getting any physical merch at all. Despite its significance, the game received none of its own amiibo. It has been almost a year since a new game received its own amiibo - the Zelda and Ganondorf figures created for Tears of the Kingꦯdom.

The arrival of Elephant Mario's plush in the US is another reminder that the future of Nintendo remains shrouded in mystery. Not even in 2025, but anything beyond the release of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Luigi's Mansion 2 HD next month. If the rumors are true and the next Nintendo console will be released in 2025, that leaves the second half of Nintendo's 2024 calendar almost entirely empty. There mu🔴st be games coming, or Nintendo has fooled us all and its next console will actually be there even sooner than expected.
