Davideꦦ Solani, creative director on Mario + Rabbids: ♚Sparks Of Hope, talks us through how Ubisoft Milan brought the limbless wonder back.

for Sparks of Hope. During the interview, Solani was asked whether he and ꦇhis team would be interested in developing the vegetable thingamajig's next game. In response, Solani said that he'd be "crazy" not to take that chance if Ubisoft asked and noted that part of the reason he'd be so interested is because of how much creativity the Rayman series offers.

Solani said, "If I had the opportunity, I would be crazy to not take that chance. To be honest, yes. I mean, Rayman is the type of game that has no realistic element. And because there is no realism, everything that you create in the game comes from your fantasy and the fantasy of the team. And so, [everything] from a chair to a 🌱table to an enemy to the environment is a form of art, is creating something from scratch. So to me as a developer, it’s the pinnacle of all the possibilities. You can go crazy and create your own stuff, as we did in Sparks of Hope. I think I would be crazy to not take that opportunity if given the chance".

As exciting as it is to imagine a team as passionate about Rayman as Ubisoft Milan are working on the next game, it's worth noting that Solani says "if" a lot in his response, making it clear that it's not a done deal and that Ubisoft seemingly hasn't asked the team about it just yet. Solani had a similar answer wh🅰en he talked to TheGamer last month, noting that the 🍎team didn't know what it was working on just yet, but that it had been a "true honour" for them all to get the chance to reintroduce Rayman in Sparks of Hope's last piece of DLC.
