is set to have a massive roster consisting of some of the most beloved characters in the history of💛 Nintendo's flagship video game series. While most of the focus so far has been on series stalwarts, the game is also expected to introduce brand-new characters who have never been playable in a Mario Kart game before.

8 C💟haracters We Want To See Return In Mar𓆉io Kart 9
Mario Kart 9 looks like it's offering bigger races than eveওr, so it'll need a roster to match.
So far, the game has introduced Pauline, the original Donkey Kong damsel-in-distres🐈s who resurfaced for Super Mario Odyssey, and several common enemies and background characters like Goombas and cows. However, Nintendo could look outside the box for new character ideas, from non-mainline titles such as Mario's many RPGs or character-specific spin-offs. Here are some characters who could potentially make the cut.
10 E. Gadd
Luigi's Mansion
-
Debut
-
Luigi's Mansion (2001)
Professor E. Gadd is a fan-favorite character from the Luigi's Mansion games. A researcher 🐎of ghosts, E. Gadd is the inventor of the Poltergust series of ghost-catching vacuums that Luigi uses throughout the trilogy. Sometimes, he is there to help Luigi, while other times, he has to be saved by him.
There were plans to put E. Gadd in Mario Kart DS, but those never materialized, and Dry Bones ended up taking his place on the roster. However, Mario Kart World may 𓃲be the perfect opportunity for Nintendo 👍to finally pull the trigger on his inclusion, as Luigi's Mansion has proven to be a viable Mario subseries, rather than the one-off it was at the time of Mario Kart DS.
9 Geno
Super Mario RPG
-
Debut
-
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (1996)
Aside from his𓆏 many platforming adventures, Mario has also starred in his fair share of role✃-playing games, and the first of these, the Square-developed Super Mario RPG, came out in 1996. The game featured the Mario gang and a slew of original characters, with the standout being the living puppet Geno.
With Super Mario RPG's 2023 remake on the Switch a hit, Geno is back in the spotlight, and Mario Kart World would be the perfect opportunity to cross him over into other games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:barring a new Super Smash Bros. game. Like in Sma𒈔sh, Geno's biggest obstacle to getting in is a potential dispute between Nintendo and Square Enix over who owns the 🔥character.
8 Fawful
Mario & Luigi
-
Debut
-
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (2003)
The Mario & Luigi games have been the premier Mario RPG series for Nintendo's handheld systems since 2003, and its m👍ost recurring origina🎀l character is the evil genius Fawful. While he is not a particularly powerful foe in his own right, he often aligns himself with bigger villains throughout the series.
Despite his popularity, Fawful🌃 has not been featured oღutside the Mario & Luigi series, with his most notable appearance being as a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A Mario Kart World appearance could change that, and introduce the wisecracking green minion to a new audience.
7 Paper Mario 🀅
Paper Mario

Debut

Paper Mario (2001)
Recent Mario Kart entries are known for having variations of the core Mario cast as playable characters. While their inclusion as separate characters has been highly divisive with fans, there is one in particular whose inclusion would be very positively receiv𒉰ed should he get in: Paper Mario.
This series of RPGs portrays the Mario cast in a 2D paper art style with 3D backgrounds. And as fans who've played the games know, Paper Mario is more𝓀 than just Mario with a different design. He has his own unique abilities, including being able to fold his paper body, and specializes in using his hammer. Incorpor🍸ating him into Mario Kart would be a tricky challenge, but one that only Nintendo can be trusted to implement correctly.
6 ♈ King K. Rool
Donkey Kong Country

Donkey Kong Country (1994)
When 168澳洲幸运5🍎开奖网:characters from the Donkey Kong series get representation in Mario Kart, it's usually been limited tཧo Donkey Kong, his friend Diddy, and occasionally Dixie. One element that has not been featured is the Kongs' arch-rivals, the Kremlins, and no on❀e is more deserving of a Mario Kart slot than their leader, King K. Rool.

These Mario Kart tracks haven't yet made a comebac൲k.
🌃In 2018, he showed up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to huge fanfare, and fans have been clamoring to see him in future Nintendo games. If it's not a return in Donkey Kong Bananza, then the next best thing could be to join the race in Mario Kart.
5 Ashley
WarioWare
-
Debut
-
WarioWare: Touched! (2004)
Wario has been in every Mario Kart game since the series' debut on the Super Nintendo, but his solo games have rarely been represented. That could change if he calls in his friends from WarioWare, and the most beloved of the bun🍷ch is the witch-in-training Ashley.
Mona may be a better fit for a racing game due to her already having a scooter, but it's Ashley who became a standout following her introduction in WarioWare: Touched. While the series has gotten representation in the Mario Kart arcade games in the form of a Diamond 🐽City racecourse, it's long overdue for an appearance in a mainline game.
4 Kirby
Kirby
-
Debut
-
Kirby's Dream Land (1992)
Mario Kart 8 brought in a handful of guests from other Nintendo series, such as Link and the Villager from Animal Crossing. While it's unlikely these particular characters make another appearance in Mario Kart World, that doesn't mean 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other Nintendo guests can't ta൲ke their place. One character who'd be a perfect fit is Kirby.
The pink puffball is no stranger to racing games, with Kirby Air Ride a major hit for the GameCube and a sequel, Kirby Air Riders, announced for the Switch 2, the same day Mario Kart World was officially revealed. Whether he riꦬdes in a kart like the rest of the gang or gets his own Air Ride star, it would be a delight to see Kirby in a Mario Kart game.
3 Pikachu
Pokemon

Pokemon Red and Blue (1996)
If there's one Nintendo franchise as easily recognizable as 🦹Mario, it's Pokemon. The monster-catching series has been a staple of popular culture for nearly three decades, and much of that can be attributed to its beloved mascot, Pikachu.

The 7 Most Obscure Mario Character💟s That Should Join Marꩵio Kart World
Because why not at this point?
Whether it be a generic Pikachu or Ash Ketchum's best friend from the long-running Pokemon anime, getting one of these electrical mice into a Mario Kart gam🍎e would excite fans of both series. And it's not like Pokemon don't have experience with racing games, as 2005'🔥s Pokemon Dash proved.
2 Captain Falc💃on
F-Zero
-
Debut
-
F-Zero (1990)
O♔u🧸tside of Mario Kart, Nintendo's most celebrated racing game series is the futuristic racer F-Zero. From the original game on the Super Nintendo up until the GameCube era, these games were all-time classics with Nintendo fans. However, following 2003's F-Zero GX, the series has mostly gone on hiatus.
Still, F-Zero has lived on thanks to its hero, Captain Falcon, being a mainstay in the Super Smash Bros. series. And even Mario Kart got a taste of the action when F-Zero-themed racetracks were added to Mario Kart 8. F-Zero has plenty of potential for further representation in Mario Kart Tour, and this time, it could be 🌄in the form of a playable racer.
1 Sonic the Hed༺gehog
Sonic the Hedgehog

Debut
-
Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
While Mario Kart has added other🐷 Nintendo characters to its line-up, it has never brought in third-party characters to the fold, except for Pac-Man crossovers in the arcade spin-offs. But there's always the chance Nintendo will decide to do so in the future, and who better to join a race than a character synonymous with speed?
Sonic the Hedgehog isn't called the fastest thing alive for nothing, and is a force to be reckoned with in any race he partakes in, whether in a vehicle or on foot. Sonic has plenty of experience in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:racing games of his own, fromꦛ foot racers ಌlike Sonic R to even his own kart racing series, with the upcoming Sonic Racing Crossworlds his latest foray into the genre.
