Piranha Plants throughout the Mario Kart🍨 series have been course decorations, they’ve been stationary obstacles, ♔coin siphons, playable characters, and these days, they’re waiting in item boxes to help you make your friends hate you.
Sticking a Piranha Plant to the front of your kart in Mario Kart 8 does a lot of things for you. Your new friend will collect coins, knock over other races to eat up their time, wipe out items on the course like Bananas without tripping you up, and it even grants a little speed boost as well. Not only do you knock your friends out if it chomps them, but it'll also eat their items as you speed away, too.
5 Superꦑ Horn
You&rsquoജ;ve got your choice of how to use a Su🤪per Horn when you score one. If you’re on the offensive, use it to emit shock waves of sound from around your kart, which will spin out any enemies in your personal space.
If you’re more defensive on the course, you’ve still got options, too, and some very mighty ones at that. Not only can the Super Horn be used to destroy banana peels left on the track, it can also be used to cancel any shell that’s about to hit you. 4 Lightning
The Lightning item is going to irritate your friends no matter when you use it on them since it ཧsees a thunderbolt hit every single racer who isn’t you. The effect wears off in the order you currently are in the race, with combatants further back returning to🦋 normal befor🐲e those toward the front. In some Mario Kart games, full-size drivers can even flatten those who are still small, too, making for an extra middle finger on top of the first.
3 Blooper
Anyone who’s played a mainline Mario game is going to be familiar with our inky squid friends, the Bloopers. In Mario Kart, however, they can be used to disadvantage every single racer ahead of you, because deploying one wi🅷ll send a꧃ Blooper to everyone’s screen and cover it in ink, rendering them almost completely unable to see the track.
CPUs are programmed to swerve because of this, and I promise, so will all your human friends, too. It only affect൲s the karts in front of you, but it’s an excellent opportunity to close some ground. Unless your friends have the tracks pretty well memorized and can drive them bliꦕnd, they’re in for a bad time.
2 ൲ Blue Shell
Also known as Spiny Shells, every Mario Kart player knows, fears, and kind of loathes this item if they’re consistently good at the game.
