Perhaps the most iconic original track to be featured in Mario Kart Wii is Coconut Mall. The course has a varied and fun layout, with the settingꦆ of a mall helping it stand out from pretty much every other track theme in the series.

Many have pointed out that this adaptation lacks some of the charm the original Wii version had, namely the lack of Miis driving the cars, but it is still the best track in the Golden Dash Cupꦏ.

9 𝔍 Mushroom Gorge

With how synonymous mushrooms, and fungi in general, are to the Mario series, it is no wonder that there are so many courses෴ based around them.

That is why it is almost surprising that a course like Mushroom Gorge stands out so muc𒀰h, but the bouncing mushrooms this course is bu🌟ilt around are what makes it so much fun. It looked amazing back on Wii, and it looks even better in 8 Deluxe.

8 Maple Treeway ✱ ꩲ

Part of the reason why Mario Kart Wii is so fondly remembered by fans of the series is how many of the tracks had a strong atmosphere, and this is part of the reason why the🐭 cozy Maple Treeway is so entertaining.

The course looks stunning with the updated Switch visuals, 𒈔and the subtle changes mad♋e to make it fit in with the other 8 Deluxe tracks are why it is one you will keep coming back to.

7 💖 Rainbow Road

One of the most consistent traditions in Mario Kart's storied history is a new Rainbow Road in every entry. These tracks are known for being challenging and including memorable theming.

The new Rainbow Road in Mario Kart 7 knew it had big shoes to fiꦿll, following Rainbow Road from Wii, but it managed t💯o match the energy with one extended lap, and plenty of varied cosmic obstacles.

6 Yoshi's Island

Original Course - Fruit Cup

While Yoshi has been a mainstay of the Mari📖o Kart series, his own series of games has been mostly ignored, with tracks themed after him usually going for a m🐠ore simple egg motif.

That is why the original track Yoshi's Island is so appreciated, with it being a love letter to Yoshi's games and anyone who has played them. The style of the track stands out and makes it a clear highlight of the Fruit Cup.

One of the best is Singapore Speedway which has an almost completely unique lap for each of the three runs you will🃏 do, and has amazing pacing to match.

4 Moonview Highway 🌠

Another memorable track that is p♒a🌟rt of the reason why Mario Kart Wii has such a strong legacy is Moonview Highway.

Some of the best tracks in a Mario Kart game are those where you drive alongside other NPC cars that act as obstacles, and Moonview Highway is perhaps the peak of this design choice. The city streets have a strong atmosphere, with 🐓the details on the poste🐼rs and billboards giving the track a fun replay value.

3 Koopa Cape 🌃ꦿ

Riding through Koopa Cape in Mario Kart Wii always felt like riding a wate✅r slide, and it is amazing how well that feeling was adapted in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

While the laps aren't particularly long, the variety throughout each section makes it feel like an adventure each time. The changes with antigravity also ensure that the track is not a 1:1 recreation of the Wii version, and improves it for the better.
