While the user mentioned they are not under the NDA, and they did remove the images as a courtesy, they did provide a lot of information on ongoing improvements to the game.
- The V99 Channel Rifle, a new sniper, was added.
- At the black market, you can now trade in materials to get lower rarity items. The models for materials have also been updated.
- When players are downed, there is now a blue blood visual effect to match the snazzy trailers.
- The medic class was added with the ability to provide players with healing over time effects or give them med kits.
- Revive timers are reportedly much longer.
- Minimaps now provide clearer information on event locations.
- Many other updates to the graphics, player models, and balance changes.
I’ve seen the leaked images (and you can, too, if you know where to look), and they look like a great step in the right direction. Hopefully Bungie can deliver on their promise to shift the visual directi𝐆on to a darker tone, though much more improvement is needed to match the quality and fidelity we’ve come to expect from them.
Marathon currently ꧅has no release date, but the team insists that it’sಌ still slated for a 2025 launch. We'll see about that one.
