Where To Place Buildings
While there’s no single correct placement for buildings, strategic planning and considering certain factors can significantly improve your city's functionality. This is why it is important to ensure that you don't end up placing buildings randomly and slow doꦅwn the progress of your town.
- Choose an open area with lots of empty space to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:build your Marketplace. The Marketplace will become the center of your medieval town and all the Burgage Plots will be built around it.
- Build a Wooden Church near your town center. This is also where your 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dead villagers will be buried.
- Place Burgage plots close to workplaces, markets, churches, and wells to boost citizens' happiness and maximize their productivity. Make sure to leave enough room for the plot extensions.
- Place resource-gathering structures, like Logging Camps and Woodcutter’s Lodge, near forests to maximize wood collection. Similarly, build a Forager Hut next to an area that has berries.
- Build Storehouses or Granaries near production areas to shorten distances and help workers move resources efficiently.
As your city grows, consider placing military structures strategicall𝔉y to protect key areas. If you aren’t satisfied with the placement, you can always relocate or demolish structures.
How To Clear Land
Placing Fields and Pastures will immediately clear all trees in that area to make room for construction𝐆. These are free to build and have customizable borders, meaning you can cl🍎ear land in large patches.
Alternatively, you can place a Logging Camp to cut down the trees on a specific patch of land and get lots of Timber. To do so, select the Limited Work Area option in the Advanced Tab of the Logging Camp pop-up menu. Next, use CTRL + Mouse Scroll Wheel to shrink the circle until it covers only the land that needs to be 𝓡cleared.
However, in areas classified as steep terrain, you can only clear land by placing down a building, suc൩h as a Windmill, Storꦦehouse, or Corpse Pit.
How To Rotate Buildings
Whether it’s for placement efficiency or creating a visually appealing city layout, you can easily 🐠rotate buildings in Manor Lords. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Open the Construction menu and select the building you wish to rotate.
- Next, press and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse left or right to adjust the degree of rotation.
- Once you’re satisfied, release the mouse button to build the structure in your chosen direction.
This method works for almost all buildings and structures in Manor Lords,꧂ except Burgage Plots. Burgage Plots can only be rotated after drawing their outlines.
While constructing a Burgage Plot, connect all four quadrants and click on the curved arrow to rotate the plot. The plots can only rotate in four directions (north, east, south, or west). Once you’re happy with the rotation, click on the brown hammer to build the plot.
How To Move Buildings
If you aren’t happy with a building’s placement, Manor L﷽ords lets you move most st💛ructures and rebuild them in a more suitable location.
To move a building, click on it and tap the Relocate button in the upper right corner of the pop-up menu. Doing so will let you move the selected building to a new location. Relocation is technically free, but you’ll have to wait for the structure to be reconstructed at the new spot. Make sure you have at least 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one unassigned family, so they can handle the relocation.
You can speed up th🧸e relocation process by setting the construction pr💝iority to High.
How To Demolish Buildings
Some buildings and structures, like the Sheep Farm, Storehouse, and Burgage Plots, are not movable. In this scenario, you will need to demolish the building and reconstruct it in the desired location. Thankfully👍, there will be no loss, as all the building resources will be returned to your inventory.
To demolish a building, click on it and tap the Demolish button in the upper right corner of the pop-up menu. Doing so will permanently remove the structure from your settlement, and you wi💫ll have to build it 💛again.
Demolishing a Burgag𓆏e Plot can negatively impact your village’s Approval Rating and leave families temporarily homeless. As such, avoid demolishing Burgage Plots whenever possible.
