Despite being a mini-set that only features 100 cards, Assassin's Creed: Universes Beyond introduces a handful of new Modern playables that may yet find their niche in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering Modern metagame. Of course, the power level of Modern relative to Coღmmander makes this a bold claim, but the possibility is there for a few standout additions.

Magic: The 𓆉Gathering – 10 Tips For Drafting Modern Horizons 3
Modern Horizons 3 is a Limited format with w𒅌ell-defined archetypes and challenging gameplay.
The freerunning mechanic, in particula🌟r, offers a variety of effects at a steeply discounted price that makes the cards adequate for Modern plaꦦy. However, the need to deal combat damage to a player with an Assassin to trigger freerunning poses a problem. Thankfully, cards like Roaming Throne and creature types such as Changeling provide alternative means of activating freerunning.
10 💝 Cover Of Darkness ♌
Any Creature Type Can Start An Assassin's Guild In The Right Lighting
While typal decks have struggled in Modern over the past few years, providing all of your creatures with the Fea🐎r keyword is a great way to end a game quickly in the case that the board is starting to stall out. Consequently, this is a useful sideboard card for any typal deck where your creature type choiceꦕ applies to all of your creatures.
Granted, there are a handful of artifact decks around in Modern that Cover of Darkness won't play nicely against. Thankfully, your sideboard is likely to already have answers to these kinds of opponents. This card is for every other deck gumming up the ground with creatures.
9 Restart Seque𒉰nce
Reanimation Sequence More Like
Reanimating a creature for one generic and one black mana is a great deal, especially if your target is a g168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ame-ending monstrosity like Emrakul, The Aeons Torn. Even if you can't activate the freerunning cost, this type of effect usually costs four generic and a black, so it's already coming at a slight discount.
Unfor🐎tunately, Reanimation decks have struggled to find ✨footing in the Modern metagame for many years now. That being said, when a reanimator deck finally rears its head yet again, Restart Sequence is a good card to keep in mind as an option.
8 𒁃 Desynchronization 𓄧
If Only You Could Reload Your Board State
In any deck running only historic permanents, this functions as a one-sided board wipe. Cards that reset your opponent's entire board state while leaving your own intact are few and far between, so the power of this card should not be underestimated, even though it doesn't technically destroy anything.

🌜 Magic: The Gathering - The 10 Best Bomb Cards 🤪In Modern Horizons 3 Limited
From Eldrazi to Turtle Warriors, Ma🦹gic: Tಌhe Gathering's Modern Horizons 3 is full of Limited bombs.
There's not currently a historic deck in the Modern metagame. However, as soon as one becomes viable, this will be a slam dunk inclusion in the list, whether it's for the mainboard or sideboard.
7 Rest In Peace 🥂
Flavor Text Is Free
Anyone familiar with Modern can tell you that this reprint was once a necessary sideboard inclusion in any deck playing white. While graveyard recursion decks aren't nearly as popular as they used to be, exiling the opponent's graveyard can still be backbreaking for strategies like Living End and threats like Dragon's Rage Channeler.
Furthermore, the Ezio Auditore quote on this rendition of Rest In Peace is difficult to pass up, even though this card has seen many greaꦓt alternative prints in the past.

You Get To Pay Two, And You Get To Pay Two
Assassin's Creed finally brings this notorious Commander enchantment to the Modern metagame. Some years ago this would have been an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:incredibly fierce enchantment 🍃for many decks to beat, however, the printing of cards like G🗹rief and the other Elemental Incarnations has freed up mana for spending elsewhere.
This is still a powerful card, and it's possible it might see some niche play in the sideboards of blue decks that don't have access to board wipes. However, Mono-Blue decks in Modern are very few and far between.
5 Chain 🅺Assassination
If A Tree Falls In A Forest And No One Is Around To Hear It
Yet another card that comes with a nifty𝄹 freerunning cost, Chain Assassination is a removal spell that replaces itself.

Magic: The Gatherin෴g - The 10 Most Valuable Cards In Modern Horizons ඣ3
Modern Horizons 3 has some pricy Magic: The Gathering cards in iℱt, if you're wondering which takes the top slot, we've got you covered.
"Destroy" effects are far from the most reliable removal in a format like Modern, but there's a lot to be said for any card that replaces itself, especially at this cheap a cost.
4 Eaglꦿe Vision
Talk About A Good Deal
The last of the freerunning bunch, Eagle Vision, offers you the opportunity to draw three cards for one generic and one blue mana. This is a much better rate than most 💜draw spells offer, even if it comes with the drawback of sorcery speed.
Of course, actually activating the freerunning cost is the conundrum that all of these cards present, but it's very easy to see a world where 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:more Assassins and Changelings are printed. Each one of these freerunners becomes ൲a key addition to the deck.
3 Tax Collector ♒ 🅰
Death And . . .
Here's a nifty addition for anyone interested in building a taxes-themed deck, as well as a useful creature to flicker repeatedly. Tax Collector gives you the choice of either increasing the cost of your opponent's spells on their next turn or blanking a creature until your next turn.
If you can trigger Tax Collector's enter the battlefield effect multiple times with a card like Essence Flux or Ephemerate, you can essentially make it near impossible for the opponent to cast a spell on their next turn. The alternative arrest mode is a nice option to have, but the tax ability is truly what makes this card notable.
2 Abst༺ergo En🐲tertainment
Free Card Advantage For The Colorless
In any deck 🥃whose mana base can support it, this is a land that comes with the nifty ability to buy back one of your spells. Beyond that, it also exiles graveyards, making it graveyard hate that you can include in your mainboard without any extra ꩲdeckbuilding cost.
Not every deck will be interested in this land, as it's best used when tapping for colorless. However, more than a few decks can slot it into their mainboard without any issue. Who doesn't like a little extra value at no additional cost?
1 Senu, Keen-Eyed Protector𒊎
Who Needs Assassins When You Can Have Birds
Yet another powerfully designed Bird creature to be printed this year, Senu comes with the unique ability to return to🦩 the battlefield attacking after being exiled. While it can exile itself to gain you some life and scry 2, this ability works no matter how Senu ended up in exile, which is what makes it so int🅠eresting.
The most obvious w⛄ay to use Senu to great effect is by pitching him to your Solitude when evoking it from your hand. Assuming you have a legendary creature already in play, like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, it then returns to the battlefield immediately attacking as though it had haste.
Cards with unique abilities are always hard to judge at first glance, so there's sure to be some other interesting ways that Senu surprises all of us.
