Most of the cards that were initially priced high at release have dipped in value only a little bit, while several others have climbed up in price as the meta stabilized once players got their hands on the cards. Among the cards that have risen in value include an alternate art Kaido, the showcase version of Overlord of the Hauntwoods, and the fracture foiled iteration of the Overlord of the Floodpits. We've updated this article to reflect price changes.

13 Overlord Of The Hauntwood♈s

Showcase - $45.42

One of the more versatile creatures to come out of Duskmourn, the Overlord of the Hauntwo🌊ods can come down as early as turn three thanks to its impending ability, which lets you play it as an enchantment instead of an enchantment creature for just three mana.

Sure, you'll have to wait four turns until you can start attacking with it if you cast it this way, but that isn't really a problem when you consider the amount of ramp you're get🍌ting from doing so. Playing the Overlord on three will put you at four lands that turn, and if you have another land drop on your fourth turn, you can cast another Overlord for the full five mana, as a creature this time, while further ramping you to six lands.

The delightfully creepy Overlord of the Floodpits is an absolute n൲ightmare, which is saying something considering it comes from one of the most horrifying planes in Magic. Much like the Overlord of the Hauntwoods, this blue Overlord can co📖me down as early as turn three with its impending ability, becoming a creature after four turns pass.

Either way, when it comes into play you get to draw two cards, at the cost of discarding one card from your hand afterward. It🧸 doesn't take much to see how incredibly easy it would be to gain the advantage over your opponent with the amount of card draw this Overlo⛄rd provides.

11 Overlord Of The Boilerbi𒀰lges ꧙

While not the strongest of the overlord cards, Overlord of the Boilerbilges has enough play with its main a🦩bility to allow you to get away with significant damage and a large creature. With the trigger to deal four damage on both entering the battlefiel❀d and attacking, giving Boilerbilges haste with cheap effects from cards like Lightning Greaves can let you deal up to 13 damage.

You can also use flicker or bounce 🍌effects like from Legion's Initiative, which is in red, allowing you to trigger an additional four damage while giving it haste to trigger another four in combat with just two mana. A classic red card with a simple ability, Overlord of the Boilerbilges has the potential to sling a lot of damage to any target.

10 Kaito,꧅ Bane Of Nightmares

Bringing back an older mechanic, this version of Kaito has a fascinating use of the ninjutsu mecha𒅌nic, letting you play him for one ma🌳na cheaper and in place of your current attacking creature so long as you had a creature be unblocked by your opponent. This works since Kaito also has a special ability that lets him become a creature on your turn so long as he still has loyalty counters on him. His abilities are:

• +1: You get an emblem with “Ninjas you control get +1/+1.”
• 0: Surveil 2. Then draw a card for each opponent who lost life this turn.
• −2: Tap target creature. Put two stun counters on it.

This makes this Kaito uniquely vulnerable, but at the same time, incredibly powerful for a blue and black planeswalker. He also comes loaded with three full planeswalker abilities, including one that gives you an emblem that makes all your Ninjas a little stronger, himself iꦯncluded.

9 Overlord Of T🌃he Mistmoors

With the highest mana cost among the other overlord cards, Overlord of the Mistmoꦫors makes up for it by creating two creature tokens every turn and having the highest power and tougness ratio among the other overlords. This card synergizes well with other white cards in the set, such as Enduring Innocence.

By generating two additional creature tokens per turn, you can make them stronger withꦑ cards like Divine Visitation or double them with cards like Anointed Proce𝔍ssion. Although Overlord of the Mistmoors is a little more niche compared to the other overlord cards, its powerful effect is hard to ignore.

Fit for Vampire decks or white and bla🥀ck lifesteal decks, Enduring Tenacity deals damage equal to yꦉour lifegain of the same amount. Like the other Glimmer creatures in this set, Enduring Tenacity returns as an enchantment after it dies, turning into an enchantment while keeping the ability which is more valuable than its power or toughness.

This card is also a direct upgrade to Sanguine Bond, costing less while also acting as a creature and returning from the graveyard. Combining it with Vito, Thorn of the dusk rose you can double the lifegain damage or create 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an infinite combo for the win with cards like Exquisite Blood.

By casting the impending cost on turn two, you can risk your creatures for the following five turnsꦦ knowing you will get one back.

Overlord of the Balemurk is e💮specially strong in green and black reanimator decks, which focus on returning your most powerful creatures and creating a big graveyard. Just with the two mana for a 5/5 creature, this is one of the strongest Overlord cards in the set.

5 ♎ Enduring Vitality

This is a strong card for three to five-color decks aꦡs it is a low-cost way to use your creatures to easily fix your mana while giving you a source of ramp.

Enduring Vitality even protects itself from single target removal and board wipes by returning to the battlefield after it is destroyed and turning into an enchantment. This can also save you from decks that focus on one type of removal or another, ensuring you always have access to your extr♔a mana.

4 𓄧 Enduring Innocence

Enduring Innocence is a low-cost white Glimmer that acts as a source of card draw when combined with decks that rel🌞y on low-p🌼owered creatures, which white is good at. The additional lifelink and Glimmer ability that returns it from the graveyard makes it one of the strongest cards for those decks.

Combined with cards like Delney, Streetwise Lookout or Mentor of the Meek, you can get a ton of extra value from otherwise underpowered yet low-cost ca🐟rds. This is also valuable in token decks, as generating a lot of 1/1 or 2/2 tokens would reliably trigger Enduring Innocent's card draw.
