168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering’s worst-kept secret 🤡is finallജy in the open, as Wizards of the Coast has revealed the final set this year is a crossover with none other than Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Like Final Fantasy and Spider-man before it, this will be a fully Standard-legal release, comp🌠lete with Commander decks, set in the world of the Avatar.

Revealed at the MagicCon Chicago Pr💫eview Panel, Avatar: The Last Airbender will be launching on November 21, capping off 2026’s sets. This will be the third Universes Beyond set to be Standard-legal, meaning it is playable not just in formats like Legacy, Vintage, an💯d Commander, but also Standard, Modern, and Pioneer. It also means the set will be coming to MTG Arena.

This set will solely focus on the original Avatar: ꧟The Last Airbender animated series, and won’t include anything from the sequel series The Legend of Korra, or the recently revealed third series, Seven Havens. It also won’t feature anything from the live-action Netflix show, or the terrible M. Night Shyamalan movie, which is probꦡably for the best.

Though Korra isn’t ܫin the main set, there is a chance she 💟could appear as a Secret Lair.

However, there is more than enough material in the original show to carry a full release. Set in a world at war, where ordinary pe𓂃ople can control (or ‘bend’) one of the four elements, Avatar is heavily influenced by anime and martial arts movies, leading to its huge popularity in the ‘00s.

While this is the first time Wizards has officially acknowledged Avatar, it’s been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a pretty safe bet it was coming ever since the then-unannounced Universes Beyond set was teased last August. At the time, lead designer and Avatar megafan Chris Mooney stated that the set was a “lifelong dream come true”, before Magic Arena then hinted at it early last month with a series of subtle references in the in-game shop’s daily dealᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚs.

It will be interesting to see how Avatar’s four elements fit in to Magic’s five-colour design. While air, water, earth, and fire all match up neatly to white, blue, green, and red, that leaves black as an unknown element. Perhaps it could focus on the spirit realm? Or be used to showcase the darker sides of the other elements, like bloodbendin﷽g and lightningbenꦦding?

It’ll be a few months at least until we hear more about Avatar: The Last Airbender, as we still have 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:three sets before ไit. Expect to see more around August or September, before a full preview season sometime in early November.
