While potent new elves are released here and there in various sets, some sets such as Kaldheim put a major focus on Elf-Tribal cards, creating a notable influx that gave the tribe a boost.
In the past few years, elf decks have notably been provided with a wide range of powerful cards, including many that incentivize building a Golgari elf deck rather than one that's Mono-Green. So today, we're going to explore the best elf cards that have been added to the Commander format over the past two years.
15 💜 Miara, Thorn Of The Glade
A Mono-Black elf that was first printed in 𒁃Commander Legends, Miara, Thorn of the G☂lade is a must-have for any Elf-Tribal deck that has access to Black mana, such as Lathril decks.
A 1/2 elf scout for the low cost of two mana, whenever Miara or another elf under its owner's control dies, they can pay one mana to draw a card and lose one life. As elf deck are often able to produce a massive number of tokens, when paired with a sacrifice outlet such as a Skullclamp or an Ashnod's Altar, Miara is capable of converting one's tokens into serious card advantage.
14 𓆏 Wolverine Riders
Released as part of the Elven Empire preconstructed Commander deck, Wolverine Riders is a perfect example of a high-mana elf that can provide worthwhile value. Creating a 1/1 elf token at the beginning of each player's upkeep, in a traditional four-player game of Commander, this creature is able to net four elf tokens per turn rotation.
In addition to being able to consistently bolster one's numbers, this creature is also able to provide a safety net in the form of life-gain, causing its controller to gain life equal to the toughness of elf creatures they control as they enter the battlefield. This allows Wolverine riders to simultaneously provide a board state and a safety net in the form of life-gain.
13 🌠 Pact ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚOf The Serpent
While Elf-Tribal decks excel at being able to produce serio🅘us sums of mana, sometimes an elf deck runs out of cards t🐠o spend that mana on. Enter pact of the Serpent.
An incredible and underrated tribal card, upon being cast, this Black three-mana sorcery has its controller choose a creature type. Target player then draws a card and loses one life for each creature they control of that type. Not only can this allow a player to draw a massive number of cards in a single turn, it is quite versatile, having the potential to take out an opposing tribal player that has a board state with a number of creatures greater than that player's life total.
12 Elvish Warmaster 🏅
Elvish Warmaster is an excellent example of a low-mana card that scales well into the later stages of a game. An elf warrior for two mana, Elvish Warmaster creates a 1/1 elf warrior token the first time an elf enters the battlefield under its owner's control each turn.
While its controller is limited to one of these tokens per turn, this can still provide considerable value for a mere two mana. Additionally, this creature has access to an activated ability for seven mana, providing each elf under its owner's control with +2/+2 and deathtouch until the end of the turn, allowing the tokens it created to become much more notable threats.
11 🍬 𓆏 Tyvar Kell
A Planeswalker printed in Kaldheim, Tyvar Kell is an excellent addition to any elf deck with access to Green and Black. A four-mana Planeswalker with three starting loyalty, this Planeswalker's static ability allows all elves to be tapped in order to produce one black mana, effectively turning each elf under its owner's control into a mana dork.
While Tyvar Kell's +1 can untap an elf, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and providing it with deathtouch, its 0 ability can be used to create a 1/1 elf warrior token. If a player is able to get Tyvar Kell to six loyalty, its -6 ultimate ability creates an emblem that states that when its controller casts an elf spell, not only does it gain haste, but its controller draws two cards!
10 Timberwatch 📖Elf 😼

As a tribe, there are two things that elves excel at, producing mana and mor🌠e elves. Timberwatch Elf is a creature that allows players to capitalize on the latter. Possessing the ability to tap 🌞to give a target creature +X/+X until end of turn, where X is equal to the number of elves the user controls, Timberwatch Elf can greatly buff up an Elf at any time, allowing for fun mind games.
When attacking, once blockers are decla🎐red, Timberwatch elf can be used to push tons of additional damage through on an unblocked cre✅ature.
9 Lys Alana Huntmaster 💖
As previously mentioned, Elves are very proficient at creating a great number of their tribe, quite quickly. Lys Alana Huntmaster is a card that showcases this characteristic to great effect. A 3/3 elf for four mana, Lys Alana Huntmaster allows players to create a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:1/1 elf token every time they cast an elf spell.
Over the course of a game, this can accrue a great deal of value, helping elf players capitalize on numerous abilities 🌺whose strength correlates with the number of elves the given player controls.
8 Joraga🍒 Warcaller ꦍ
Elf decks have the distinction of being the tribe with the greatest capabilities in regardsജ to mana, possessing numerous means of ramping mana such as the utilization of elves that tap for mana and elves that put additional lands into play. Once such a huge amount of mana is created, an elf player is going to need a place to put it all, and there are few better elven mana sinks than Joraga ♛Warcaller.
Due to possessing Multikicker, for each time the additional kicker cost is paid, Joraga Warcaller gets a +1/+1 counter. While putting counters on your creatures is good in itself, the real value here comes from Joraga Warcaller's ability that supplies all other elves controlled by the player with a on Joraga Warcaller.

Due to the sheer amount of mana that elf tribal decks can generate, it is important that elf players don't run out of cards to cast, or all of the mana won't have a purpose. As elf tribal commander decks tend to be heavily creature focused, some of the strongest ways to constantly maintain a solid amount of cards in the hand of an elf player are through the cards Beast Whisperer and Guardian Project.
Though they are a creature and enchantment respectively, these cards serve the same purpose in an elf deck, drawing a card each time the user casts a creature. As elf decks are made up primarily with creatures, these two cards will help to ensure that the player's hand never runs dry.
6 Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury
The only on this list, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury is a flexible Planeswalker whose abilities synergize greatly with elf tribal strategies. Freyalise's +2 ability creates an elf that can tap for green mana, both adding to the player's total number of elves and ramping them simultaneously.
Additionally, Freyalise's -2 can remove any pesky artifacts and enchantments, while her ultimate can draw numerous cards that can be played by utilizing the extra mana she'd helped to create. While any of these abilities would be worthwhile in a vacuum, their repeatable nature due to Freyalise being a Planeswalker should not be undervalued.
