Successfully having a girl ask you out unlocks the 'Irresistible Charm' achievement/trophy. There is only one NPC in the base game that Yagami can date, Emily, though the DLC pack adds more.
In order to date Emily, you must first progress through the School Stories content enough to unlock Girl’s Bite and then fully complete the Girl’s Bar School Story, at whi🅠ch point you will see a pop-up tutorial on the screen in regards to dating. There are three ꧂side cases involved with dating Emily, and we have a complete walkthrough of them all right here.
Raising Intimacy Level
When there is an NPC you can date, you will have an int💙imacy level meter with them. Raiღsing your intimacy level will allow you to progress your relationship with them.
You can increase your intimacy level by chatting with them using keywords you’ve collected around town, giving them gifts, or inviting them to hang out on a date at one of the minigame locations. (A great p෴lace to 🗹purchase gifts is at la chatte balance just southwest of Hamakita Park.)
Note: You can only use each keyword conversation once.
Step by Step
After completing the Girl’s Bar School Story, this side case will immediately be unlocked and you will be prompted to get to know Emily more, though it won't show in your cases list for a little while. Return to Girl’s Bite and you will find Emily sitting at the back of the bar - speak with her.
Once you have raised your int🅺imacy level enough, Yagami will want her con📖tact information.
Choose “I’d love to know whenever you’re in.”
Continue speaking with Emily until you fill the intimacy bar to the next level. If you hit a point where you can’t speak to Emily anymore, use the Darts machine in Girl’s Bite to play against Emily and raise your intimacy that way. You can only play darts once per Girl’s Bite visit, so you’ll have to leave and then re-enter the bar to play Emily at Darts again.
You need to fill the bar fully to reach 🌊level two and then kill time until Emily messages you. Go to Yokohama 99 and rest until evening, this should prompt enough time to pass for Emily to message you.
Choose “Use food as an excuse to invite her out.”
Head to East Jinnai Station and wait at the designated location (interact with the poster) ꦺto meet Emily.
Take Emily into Cafe Plage and you’ll enter an Active Search Mode. Examine the following:
- Her head.
- The right side of her jacket.
- Her right hand.
Pick favorable responses to ensure the liveliness meter fills as much as possible.
Escort Emily to Girl’s Bit🧸e for a cutscene and to complete this side case.
Broken Barriers
Return to Girl’s Bite and speak with ꧋Emily again t🐟o increase your intimacy to level three. Once you’ve done this, kill time by taking a taxi or resting for Emily to prompt Emily to message you.
Head to East Jinnai Stationꦆ and wait fo✤r Emily again. Escort her to Sweet Heaven in Chinatown
In this Active Search Mode, examine the following:
- Her head.
- Her jacket.
- Her bag.
Exhaust all of the d✃ialogue options and then escort Emily to Girl’s Bite for another cutscene.
We Mend, We Grow
Return to Girl’s Bite and raise🥀 your intimacy levelꦑ with Emily once again so that you reach level four.
Head to Yokohཧama 99 and rꦉest until nighttime to prompt a message from Emily.
Meet her at East Jinnai Station again f♋or a new cutscene where Emily confesses to you.
Choose “Yes” to complete the romance and unlock the 'Irresistible Charm' accolade.
What Can You Do With Your Girlfriend?
- You can continue to meet with them to give them gifts, chat, or go on dates.
- Talking to your girlfriend will restore your health.
- While out on a date with your girlfriend, if enemies attack then she will cheer you on throughout the fight.
