You will progress quickly through t🧸he early stages of 802-900+ but will find a similar slog to get💝 through to tier 3.
This guide is designed to be short and succinct to guide you through the best Tie💜r 2 islands, what you should be focusing on while you level up your gear, as well as act as a hub for Tier👍 2 raids and Dungeons.
Tier 2 First Steps
Tier 2 takes place across three continents: Rohendel, Yorn, and Feiton. This is around 6 hours of content depending on how quickly you're playing (picking up side quests, hunting for Mokoko Seeds, etc.)
Tier 2 begins at Item Level 600 when you are in🌊itially sent to Yorn to continue the story𒊎 quest.
Yorn Guide
600 Item Level+
Complete both Dungeons in Yorn - Wonderful Brewery and Crucible of Souls - on both normal and hard difficulty for extra Tier 2 honing materials.
This is an optional step, but you can purchase 802 gear score upon arriving in Yorn to artificially increase your Item Level. This gear isn't too expensive, maybe around 10 gold a piece, and it doesn't matter if you purchase it at low quality level as you can always gear transfer later on. Purchasing 802 gear score will allow you to complete higher-level Chaos Dungeons in Yorn without first having to grind the gear from the early Chaos Dungeons.
Feiton Guide
960 Item Level +
Complete both Feiton dungeons - Ruined Castle and Cave of Sin - on both Normal and Hard difficulty for extra Tier 2 crafting materials.
Guardian Raids
From 802 gear score+ you will have access to level 3 Guardian Raids - Dark Legoros, Helgaia, Calventus, and Achates - which will gr🗹ant you extra honing materials and accessories. You need to complete 🎃all four of these Guardian Raids to unlock the next tier of Raid content at level 4 raids.
- If you plan on playing for a few more hours, do not harvest the Guardian souls until you've reached the peak of your Item Level available.
- For example, if you are already at Gear Score 960, do not Harvest the souls of Dark Legoros or any of the other level 3 Guardian Raids.
- Wait until you have accessed the highest tier available and then harvest the souls. This is just a way of min-maxing your available rewards per day.
Chaos Dungeon Grinding
Just like in Tier 1, Chaos Dungeons are an important part of grinding materials in Tier 2. Because you will also want to be running the Cube and Boss Rush (unlocked in Tier 2) whenever possible, you will have to grind Chaos Dungeons if you want to get natural drops of entrance tickets for this endgame content.
Abyssal Dungeons
Much like in Tier 1, Abyssal Dungeons are difficult weekly activities that provide great rewards, including access to the more powerful Armor and Weapon sets that you can transfer your experience to once you've unlocked them.
Tier 2 Honing Materials Guide
The process of gathering honing materials for Tier 2 (Life Shards, Life Leapstones, Guardian Stones and Destruction Stones) is much the same as it was in Tier 1. You will want to exchange materials wherever possible (Bloodstone Exchange, Pirate Coin Exchange, Merchant Exchange, etc - you can read more about these exchan🦩ges in our tier 1 guide here) as well as completing a bunch of different Island Quests fౠor honing materials.
Best Tier 2 Islands For Materials
Here's a list of the best islands to visit to earn tier 2 honing materials.
- Gravis Island
Rewards: 9 Splendid Destruction Stone Chests, 8 Lavish Guardian Stone Chests, 1 Lavish Life Shard Chest.
This quest chain will take you to 🎉Stern, Peyto, Aiwana Island, and Revelry Row. You should also complete the yellow side quest on the 🌞island for Destruction Stones.
- Hypnos's Eyes
Rewards: 70 Splendid Destruction Stone Chests, 4 Lavish Destruction Stone Chest, 94 Splendid Guardian Stone Chest, 8 Lavish Guardian Stone Chest, 15 Lavish Life Leapstone Chests, and a single Splendid Life Shard Chest.
This is a huge island for Tier 2 honing materials. You must first pick up the quest for Hypnos's Eyes from the Reporter from Gravis Island (we mention this above.) There are various other quests dotted around the island, including a hidden quest inside the building you find Blue-Eyed Calvasus inside. Check around the first floor of the building. Completing quests for Blue-Eyed Calvasus opens up new quest lines on the isl🎶and.
- Twilight Isle
Rewards: 217 Splendid Guardian Stone Chest, 81 Splendid Destruction Stone Chest, 7 Lavish Life Leapstone Chest, 23 Splendid Life Shard Chest.
Complete various chain quests and island q🙈uests here to earn lots of tier 2 honing materials.
- Distorted Island
Rewards: 8 Lavish Destruction Stone Chest, 15 Lavish Guardian Stone Chest, 5 Lavish Leapstone Chest, 1 Life Shard Chest.
Complete this island quest by entering the mansion through one of the side doors and hunting for the NPC Mephisto. After you speak to him, he often jumps around to different locations around the house, so make sure to check every room as you explore. Some rewards are earned by completing Cube runs, which you will need tickets to enter.
Manage Your Alts
At 802 Item Level, head to your Stronghold and complete the research for a better honing chance for Tier 1 and reduced honing material research for Tier 1. This should make it easier to grind your alts up toward 500+ gear score for better rewards and a 𒀰chance an opportunity to begin funneling resources to your main. This is entirely optional, of course.
