Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is compared to Final Fantasy 10 quite a bit, and its story is structured in a very similar way. The majority of the game is split into line𒅌ar dungeons with small bits of hidden loot to find throughout them. Then, the last third of the game opens up, and you can explore the whole world.
If you'd rather 🅘just focus on the main story, though, you⭕'re free to do just that, and you won't be punished by not engaging with the optional content like you sometimes are in FF10.
