168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth didn’t just bring the old LaD and Yakuza crews back together, it introduced us to some brand new party members to fall in love with too. One of those new faces is Chitose Fujinomiya, a spunky woman capable of holding her own in a fight and run rings around the guys. This is never more evident than in🐠 her introduction, where she drugs Kasuga and leaves him naked on a beach.

Suzie Yeung, En꧋glish voice actor for Chitose tells me she “wasn’t sure how she would be received at first, because of how she takes advantage of Ichiban”, but knew that “fans would definitely warm up 🐭to her.”

RGG Studio Knew "The Time Wa🌺s Right" For Like A Dragon To Mo🏅ve Overseas

We spoke with Infinite Wealth 💛chief producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto about taking the series overseas for the first time.

Chitose isn’t the first character Yeung has voiced in the series, previously portraying Mikiko Sadamoto in spin-off title Lost Judg🙈ment. She was “honoured” to be invited back into the franchise, especially in a main role. “Mikiko and Chitose are quite different from each other, so I was excited I got to play other parts of my range, as well as explore their unique motivations and relationships.”

As the narrative unfolds, we learn that Chitose isn’t a straightforward ally and has actually been deceiving the team. Maybe the whole ‘drugging Ichiban’ thing should have been a hint at her nefarious side. As a side, Yeung says, she tried to hint at this in her performance, “During certain parts where she is deceiving the party, her friendliness can be pretty exaggerated. This is something the player would clock in on, but it doesn’t necessarily register with the main team. After all, Ichiban is pretty gullible. Towards the point where she starts feeling bꦕad, I felt like I was wincing with her. It’s like the feeling of trying to tell a kid the tooth fairy isn’t real.”

Chitose’s double agent antics offer the perfect opportunity for growth in her character arc as she comes to terms with who she really is and the family history she’s been running from, and in d𒐪oing so, graduates into becoming a fully-fledged member of Kasuga’s team.

“Some important themes for Chitose are her discovering her moral compass, compassion, and freedom,” Yeung says. “While Chitose had a mission and strict upbringing, she is still a free spirit with her own mind and ambitions. With the help of my director [Keith Arem], I tried to keep her casual and lighthearted, as well as a bit sassy,﷽ to paint some of that personality between serious moments where she is guilt-ridden and heartfelt.”

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, Ichiban sitting down with Chitose for a drink

As with all of the party members, the Drink Links mechanic allows you to get to k🔯now Chitose on a deeper level as she shows her more vulnerable side, sharing her conflicting thoughts and insecurities with Kasuga, which is something we don’t often get to see in the main story. Yeung tells us that recording these lines was more relaxed and intimate, especially in comparison to the more intense main narrative.

Yeung tells us that she hadn’t had a chance to play the series until now, jumping straight in with Infinite Wealth. Her favourite minigame so far is the dating app, while her go-to job role for Chitose is Kunoichi as she has an affinity for ninja🍬s and lo🐼ves how cool Chitose’s design looks.

Of course, we can’t talk about minigames without touching on karaoke, the rhythm game that has the voice actors belting out some classic Yakuza tunes to the delight of fans. “I was super nervous, honestly,” Yeung admits. “I don’t have any background or training in singing. Still, I had tons of fun and the team made me feel com🍸fortable about it. I was pleasantly surprised to see the good reception, too! I personally really enjoy listening to Elizabeth Maxwell’s rendition of Awake! I love the rock vibe, and I pretty much play it on repeat.”

Yeung hopes that Chitose will appear again in future titles as the party welcomed her with open arms, and she’d love to see Chitose continue developing strong bonds with Kasuga and the rest of the cast. When picking a favourite, she says she “adores” Kasuga especially. ﷽“I wish he existed in real life so he can be my friend. I also think Tomizawa is hilarious. The whole maꦺin cast is just so great and colorful!”

In much the same way that Kasuga seeꦆms so endearing that he wins over every character he meets, including enemies or double agents like Chitose, the series seems equally capable of w🃏inning over new players. Both can be incredibly silly and emotionally deep, yet they’re big dumb lugs that we absolutely adore regardless of what’s happening.

“I💮’ve never seen a game series quite like Yakuza/Like a Dragon,” says Yeung. “I think its candid humour and boldness to break expectations and boundaries make it stand out from any other game I’ve experienced so far. There are so many things that are silly and ridiculous to 🍰the point where you just accept it and go ‘I have no idea what just happened but this is the best’—my reaction [to] Nancy the crawfish—I’m honestly not sure where it’ll go next, but knowing Sega/RGG’s handling of it I’m in for a fun ride either way.”
