Being a grumpy person who🧜 detests change, I wasn’t keen on letting go of the past and embracing the future. Less Majima is never a good thing in my eyes. With hindsight, I was just playing through, waiting for the old gang to eventually cameo. But setting aside the changing cast, one of my biggest gripes was the changes to combat.

Again, it’s not that I didn’t enjoy the new turn-based battles, I just got bored of them quite quickly. The novelty of change wore off, and I was tired of the same old cutscenes — oh look, pigeons again — and I really didn’t take the time to dabble with mixing up job roles or building the perfect team as much as I should have. Perhaps ifไ I had, I would have enjoyed it more. I can’t shake the feeling that going turn-based made the battles longer, and because you’re constantly getting thrown into fights, it felt like a drag.

Despite my misgivings about combat and my reluctance to say goodbye to the old crew, I adored the story because, let’s face it, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios is a master at storytelling. I also loved the new Yokohama s🌺etting with all the added minigames and shiny new features. There was a lot to love about LaD, but it’s only now that I realise I didn’t fully open my heart to it.

After playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, I realise now that I didn’t fully appreciate what RGG was setting up in LaD. I didn’t let the characters in as much as I should have, and felt far less attached to them as a result b💝ecause I was too hung up on my old favouritesꦓ. I also didn’t appreciate some of the changes and ideas being set in motion by the series at the time, which have since gone on to evolve.

Infinite Wealth gave me an opportunity to gain closure on the old gang and combat system in more ways than one. Now, I want to go bac🍌k and play LaD all over again, but this time, with my undivided attention and without grumbling about how things have changed. It can be hard going backwards in a series and returning to an older game. You forget sometimes just how many quality💖 of life improvements and tweaks are made with each new title. That is, until you take a step back and you’re faced with the older, less polished version.

I’m well aware that when returning to LaD, the battle won’t be as good as it is in Infinite Wealth, which improved so much of how the turn-based combat works to make it more interesting - 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:something I discuss further in my 🌄💜review. I’ll likely still find it a little too tedious for my tastes, perhaps even more so with the comparison of Infinite Wealth at the forefront of my mind, ♊but at least t✃his time, I’ll be going in with more of an open mind.

My main goal is to replay and fully embrace everything LaD has to offer, from the characters to the combat and every little nuance and detail in between. I want ✱to soak it all up this time without holding myself back from loving it as much🤪 as I could have.
