You wo🌠n't unlock the feature until your resort gets to level four, but it offers new ways to earn materials and rewar꧅ds whether you want to upload your island or not. It's also a great way to inspire yourself before you decide how to decorate an unused area.

How To Unlock Dondoko Island Online

A screenshot from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth showing the disclaimer that appears before accessing online features. It reads "The following will be visible to players: Island Information (name, decorations, current visitors) and Sujimon Information (Nicknames, Status, Party). Please refrain from entering personal information or slander. With option to 'Do Not Agree,' 'Agree,' and 'Agree (Don't Ask Again).'

You will unlock the Online Mode for Dondoko Island shortly after your resort reaches four stars. During a morning meeting, PingWing the parrot will make an appearance, and you'll be introduced to the online mode. To speak to PingWing and upload your island or visit others, take the trip to Dondoko Farm.

The Dondoko Island Online disclaimer will appear every time you speak to PingWing unless you select 'Agree (Don't Ask Again).'

PingWing rests on one of the wooden poles between where your raft lands and the small building where you can get more information about Dondoko Farm. When you speak to him and accept the disclaimer, you'll have multiple ways to engage with the online mode.

  • Going to other islands.
  • Editing and uploading your island.
  • Spending earned Dokomiles on rewards.

It's only a small part of the Dondoko Island game mode, but the online mode provides plenty of more depth as you have the option to explore as many Dondoko Island resorts as you want.

Go To Other Dondoko Islands

A screenshot from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth showing the island search screen for online mode, with four islands being shown under the 'Similar Training Ranks' filter.

When you select the 'Go to someone else's island' option from PingWing, you'll be met with a screen of filters that you can use to find islands online. These filters can show you recently updated islands, islands with higher satisfaction, and more.

Loading new islands and downloading them can take up to a couple of minutes, so make sure not to back out before you're done.

When you find an island you like, select it and then confirm that you'd like to visit it. The island will be downloaded to your device, and you'll be transported to it after a short loading screen.

Once you spawn on the island, you'll face the host avatar, which is chosen by the island's creator through PingWing, who will act as your main interaction with the player behind the map. On the island, you can challenge your Sujimon and change the way the island looks.

Through the host avatar, you ca🅘n do meta actions, such as:

  • Fight a Sujimon battle against the host's party.
  • Change the island to day or night.
  • View your mission status.
  • Go back to your island.

When selecting the avatar and editing your profile, you'll also be able to choose a party of Sujimon that will be fightable by any visitors. To engage in a battle against the Sujimon of an island you're visiting, simply talk to the host avatar.

If you're not interested in any of that, you can also complete missions on the islands you visit to earn the online currency, Dokomiles. These can then be turned in for rewards that can change your online profile and give you more resources to improve your island.

Editing And Uploading Your Island

A screenshot from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth showing the user profile screen for uploading to Dondoko Island online mode, including a personal description, island description, and Sujimon Party.

You'll need to manually upload your island if you want other people to be able to visit it. Once you select the option from PingWing, you can edit the way your island appears to others by selecting the different menu options.

  • Edit Island Tag
  • Edit User Tag
  • Edit Avatar
  • Edit Quick Comment
  • Sujimon Party
  • Change Island Name

The first four options are items that are unlocked through the Dokomiles store, but you should have some you can use to customize your user profile at the start. These are purely cosmetic and offer a way to show your personality before someone selects your island.

You have free rein over what you name your island and your Sujimon party that others can challenge. It's important to keep in mind that the host avatar will be using the party you select, so give them the best Sujimon you can.

Assigning Sujimon to your online island won't take them out of your party.

Once you're satisfied with your user profile, click 'Upload Data' to list your island online.

Dokomiles Shop

All the non-cosmetic items that can be purchased multiple times can be found below.
