The Fallen Archbishop Andreus is notable for a number of reasons. For starters, this is the first non-puppet boss you will encounter in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lies Of P (and if you are wondering, he will be the first of many). He also introduces a moderately contentious element: ꦰAndreus is the first boss that has two distinct phases, both of which are, essentially, their own boss fight.

However, even when speaking of the dual boss encounters, Andreus is pretty unique. He is the only encounter where you can choose which version of him you fight in the second phase. Naturally, we'll get into that a little more, while also outlining all the bishop's attacks so that you can help him sever his ties to the mortal realm.

Fallen Archbishop Andreus' Attacks

Lies Of P, Fallen Archbishop Andreus, First form

Andreus' first form is primarily defined by his stomps, his wide swings, and his tongue attacks. Thankfully, these attacks are all very telegraphed. When Andreus rears with a limp extended to the side, he is about to swipe at you. When he raises his foot up into the air, he is about to stomp. The🐓se attacks are extremely easy to predict as a direct result.

Circle away from his stomp attacks. Even if you miss your dodge, he will often miss if you a🔯re strafing when he uses his stomp🎃s.

The tongue attack is similarly easy to anticipate. When Andreas arches his head and neck back, he is about to slam his tongue down. He will then always follow tha♍t attack with a sweeping tongue attack. The most dangerous element of the tongue is that if it hits you, you will take a hefty amount of decay.

Decay is a poison status effect that will gradually chip away at your health. It will also gradually damage your weapon. So, if you are full♓y afflicted with decay, ma🅺ke sure to stay on top of keeping your sword sharp.

When the archbishop opens up its ribcage, exposing a glowing core, he is about to fire a powerful blast at you. If you sprint away from him, yo🍷u will avoid this attack entirely.

Furious Attack

The Archbishop's Furious Attack will see him stand up and try to sit on you. If he gets directly above you, it will mess with your camera, which can be a bother. Thankfully, even if it hits, it only deals a smallඣ amount of damage.

He also has a stomp attack, this is much easier to time the Perfect Guard for, but does do more damage. You can also just run away from it, though.

Second Phase Attacks

Once you enter into the second phase, you will be confronted by another version of the Andreus boss altogether. Here the upper half of the more human-shaped archbishop, holding his staff, will be the head of a snake-like appendage attached to the giant monstrosity we just fought.

While this second form is completely distinct from the first, he only has a small handful of attacks. He will drag his staff on the ground and swipe at you. This is easily dodged. He has a linear, lunging attack. This attack is pretty quick, but if yౠou are moving laterally, it will typically miss you.

If you see the bishop rising, he is about to🍌 slam down on top of you. He also has a second overhead attack as well. This one sees him slam the butt of his staff down on your head.

Finally, when the Bishop hides himself behind their infected wing, they are going to fire a wave of projectiles outward. These are fast-moving and you ꦉare better off dodging them than trying to Perfect Guard them.

Beyond that, the snake half of the archbishop has essentially the same Furious Attack as the backside version of the boss you fought in the first half of the fight. It will stand up and slam itself down on top of you. Though now it will take a few steps towards you before doing so. It still doesn't hit particularly hard.

You can choose to sprint past Andreus when he is ♉in his second phase, if you do, you will be able to get behind him and face the first form again. This makes the second form option😼al.

Fallen Archbishop Andreus Strategy

Lies Of P, Fallen Archbishop Andreus, The first phase of Andreus

The first phase of the Andreus is a classic FromSoft-type fight. Andreus uses telegraphed swinging punches, stomps, and tongue swipes. And while these attacks are easy enough to Perfect Guard, this is the first fight that really rewards you dodging through them instead.

Most of Andreus' attacks have a ton of pushback. When you are pushed back, negating damage isn't that valuable, as you are no longer in range to land an attack. Now, you can absolutely still win by staggering the fallen clergyman, and that is definitely something that will happen if you Perfect Guard enough, but it will be MUCH quicker to dash through his attacks and land your own.

If you are dodging through his attacks, you will be able to land a light in between nearly every attack. However, it is worth pointing out that the tongue strike combo is, and the stomp followed by swing are fast enough that you should just dodge both attacks and land your own after the second attack is dodged.

He will also occasionally open up his ribcage and release a giant energy blast. Once you see that glowy bit become exposed, get your distance.

Second Form

In his second form, you actually have the choice of fighting the front side, with the slithering movements of the snake-like Bishop, and contend with his staff-based attacks, or you can run around to his backside and fight that tongue-waggling, foot-stomping first form again. If you choose to fight his backside, little will have changed, except he is faster and more aggressive.

Andreas' backside does gain a few new abilities, though. For starters, he can take a few steps forward before splatting down on top of you, but you are able to easily outrun him. So, do just that.

As for his front side, the Bishop will swipe at you from the left and the right. He will also slam down in front, and lunge toward you. These movements aren't all that different from the first phase's tongue attacks. Once he starts dragging his staff, prepare to dodge through him, as he is going t🧔o swivel his💜 body directly into you.

The only troublesome attack this form will hit you with is a decay-inflicting wave of projectiles. These projectiles can be dodged, of course, but they come out relatively quickly. Your only warning w🐈ill be his infected wing coming out. So, if𓆉 you see that wing appear, get a little distance and prepare to roll through those projectiles.

While we don't think the alternate form of Andreus is particularly difficult, you may want to stick to fighting the first form again, as you will already know their attack patterns.

Rewards For Slaying The Fallen Archbishop Andreus

Lies Of P, Fallen Archbishop Andreus, The Archbishop having been downed

For killing the Archbishop you will receive the Twisted Angel's Ergo. Naturally, if you take this to Alidoro you can swap it for either the Nameless One's Amulet or the Trident of the Covenant.

The Nameless One's Amulet gives you a chance to retain a Pulse Cell when you use it. So, if you are a gambler, it is an interesting option. The Trident of the Covenant is a pretty nicely balanced weapon, though it does slightly favor Technique builds.

Either way, you can now progress into the Black Rabbit Gang's territory. You'll be leaving the frying pan and entering the fire!
