They aren't as dangerous as some entities, but Hygrodere's can still be a pain, especially if there's more than one of them. If you don't feel like being consumed by a slime being, we'll show you to avoid it.
How To Deal With Hygroderes
Hydrogeres are a unique enemy, and like the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:creepy, particular Coil-Heads, Hydrogeres can't be killed – they can only be avoided, or distracted by the use of certain equipment. These blobs can either be an annoyance to work around if they're alone, but surprisingly dangerous if they're blocking off parts of a facility or if you're dealing with other enemies besides them.
Don't bother hitting Hygrodere's with a Shovel or other weapon, as it just angers them and makes them speed up.
The first sign that a Hygrodere is around is a slow bubbling noise that you'll be able to hear through walls and floors, depending on how close it is to you. If you spot one, and it's coming after you, there are a few wa🐈ys to handle it:
- If you're in a long hallway or a room with enough ceiling space, you can sprint and jump over the Hygrodere.
- If a Hygrodere has trapped you in a room, you can move into a corner and wait for the Hygrodere to enter the room, then run around it to the exit or jump over it.
- Hygrodere can go upstairs, so use this to your advantage: lead them up the stairs, then jump down the railing past them.
If a Hygrodere loses sight of you long enough, it will lose aggro, and either leave for another area or pick another teammate in its range to target.
How To Distract A Hygrodere
If you don't want to deal with a slow-moving blob endlessly chasing you, there's another strategy that involves 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:using a Boombox, but it can be risky since the Boombox attracts more than just Hygroderes. Once you've found the Hydrogere, and it's following you, just find a spot for it to stay where it's out of the way, such as in the corner of a storage room, or a section of a factory room you don't plan to traverse often.
Hygroderes will speed up significantly if you turn a Boombox on and hold it, so you can turn one on and have someone lead the Hygrodere away to a more convenient location.
Get it where you want, then turn the Boombox on, place it down, and make sure you've got plenty of room to get past the Hygrodere without taking damage. The Hygrodere will go over to the Boombox, climb on top of it, and won't leave the spot as long as the Boombox stays on.
Boomboxes are battery-powered, and their charge lasts about six minutes.
