How To Defeat Nutcracker
The most important thing to remember about the Nutcracker is that you might not even find it until you're a little later into your run. This enemy has a very low chance of spawning on the free moons, but the chances 🥂of getting it become much higher on high-tier moons like Rend, Dine, and Titan.
Rend has the highest chance to spawn this enemy, making it the bes𓆉t pla💝ce to go if you want to hunt it down.
If this enemy spawns during your run, it'll be hard to miss it since it makes distinct sounds when it's walking or rotating its body. Unfortunately, the sound of your footsteps when you're walking on black and white tiles in the mansion map also sounds similar to the Nutcracker rotating, so beware of mistaking it.
You can follow the audio to locate the Nutcracker, but make sure you keep looking around to prevent other enemies like Bracken from creeping up. Iඣf you want to avoid a Nutcracker, here are a few things you should keep in mind:
- The Nutcracker only detects motion. So, if you stop moving as it looks at you, it won't try to shoot you. However, if it detects your motion once, it'll keep shooting at you even if you stay still.
- If you use the Shovel on the Nutcracker, it'll instantly start attacking you even if it didn't detect your motion.
On the other hand, if you want to defeat one of these abominations, you'll first have to find a way to dodge its shotgun bullets. Nutcracker's shotgun has two bullets, and it one-shots you if you don't have an object to hide behind. The idea is to first get it aggroed on you and then instantly go behind an object whil🌃e it winds up the shot.
After the first shot, do the same again and bait out the second shot.
