Hazard Levels, Explained

Hazard Levels is a system that gives you a general idea of how difficult your day will be on a planet.

The Hazard Level determines how much the loot on a planet is worth, and the amount of monsters you'll encounter on a given planet, and also increases the chances of more dangerous enemies spawning, such as the Snare Flea or the Thumper.

Dangerous enemies still have a chance to spawn on a planet with a lower Hazard Level, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:such as a single Bracken spawning on a planet with Hazard Level C.

There are a total of six Hazard Levels, and they range from D, the least threatening, to S+, the most threatening. Each planet is given a Hazard Level when you stop orbiting and load onto it, and it can change between trips to a planet.

What Effects A Planet's Hazard Level?

Worker in the terminal computer UI and looking at the list of exomoons available to visit, some of which have weather effects, in Lethal Company.

A planet's Hazard Level is primarily influenced by three factors: the type of weather the planet is currently experiencing, the base difficulty of the moon that you're traveling to, and a random factor.

Each of the eight moons you can explore for loot also has its own base difficulty level that effects the most likely Hazard Level it will receive given no weather conditions.

Planets have a small chance of being generated at a lower Hazard Level than whatever their most common one is.

While weather patterns don't have their specific difficulty levels like the planets do, they can be split into two categories; low hazard conditions and high hazard conditions, and all five weather conditions tend to raise the Hazard Level.

Worker character carrying a piece of scrap and standing near a quicksand pit caused by rain on the planet Assurance in Lethal Company.

The fifth weather condition, Foggy, comes in three different types of fog – light, heavy and stinkcloud – and each adds its own amount of difficulty towards a planet's Hazard Level, except for stinkcloud.

While weather conditions can be separated into two categories, every weather condition is dangerous, including the least threatening one, Rainy, which causes quicksand pools to appear.

For example, the planet 41-Experimentation will most often be Hazard Level D or C, as it's considered an easy planet, but loading onto the planet while it's under a weather condition such as Stormy or Flooded can make it Hazard Level C, or even B.
