You could leave it be, but maybe there's a bunch of val🐼uable scrap on the other side of the door, or it's the only way forward into the complex. If you don't have a Lockpicker on hand because you're out of money, saving your money for a big purchase, or it's too late to buy one, you're going to need a key.
How To Find Keys
As a type of scrap, Keys can spawn randomly inside any moon's complex, and generally, you'll find between three and five of them each time you load onto a moon. Each Key takes up one slot in your inventory, and you're able to carry up to four of them per player.
Keys have a value of three, but selling them to The Company doesn't add anything to your money made or count towards your quota.
They can spawn in any location within a complex, but you'll often find them in Piped Hallway rooms, as well as on Staircases and in Storage Rooms, and they're picked up by your scanner like other scrap.
Keys are intended to unlock any regular locked door you find within a complex, and after they've been used once, they'll disappear, unlike the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lockpicker equipment item.
Keys and Lockpickers won't work on Security Doors, you'll have to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:use the ship's Terminal to unlo💧ck them ins⛎tead.
How To Use Keys
To use a key, you'll first need to have it in your inventory. Locate whichever locked door you want to unlock in the facility, then scroll over and equip the key.
Go up to and interact with the locked door while holding the key, and the door will unlock, letting you explore further into the complex.
