Lego and Disney have a long🐽 and storied relationship, but the next set that brings the two worlds together might be more special than anything to have come before it. That's despite it not even officially being a Disney Lego set, although Disney fans will take one look at it and know exactly which castle this upcoming build is based on.
Lego revealed its Neuschwanstein Castle set this week. The impressive new set is technically a part of Lego's Architecture collection and has no official affiliation to Disney and its own vast collection of Lego sets whatsoever. However, the real-life castle on which the set is based served as the inspiration for the castle in which Aurora slept for 100 years in Sleeping💃 Beauty, wait🌟ing to be awoken by a kiss from a prince.

Lego's Rumored $1,000 Death Star Set Will Reportedly Include More Than 40 Minifigures
Charac💧ters from across the galaxy will be gathering to battle the Lego Empire if these rumors are anything to go by.
Neuschwanstein Castle Is The Castle That Inspired Sleeping Beauty's Home
Now You Can Build Your Own Out Of Lego
Unfortunately, since the newly revealed Neuschwanstein Castle isn't technically based on the castle from Sleeping Beauty, unlike the Beauty and the Beast castle re🍬vealed earlie💮r this year, there aren't any officially licensed Di🌳sney-themed Minifigures waiting for you inside. Since the set is a part of Lego's Architecture collection, though, it's incredibly accurate and detailed, and a very special new set.
It will take 3,455 pieces to build the castle with the cliff that it sits on top of, complete with smaller details like the trees and foliage growing out of the cliffside incorporated into its design. Everything that you can see on the exterior of the real castle can be found on its Lego replica, includ♊ing the turrets, staircases, and courtyards, and there are even some small interior build🔯s waiting to be discovered.
The size and intricacy of the set does make it a pretty expensive one, as tends to be the case with most of the Lego Architecture sets that are modeled after real-life monuments, buildings, and locations. The Neuschwanstein Castle set will be released on Lego's webiste and Amazon on August 1, 2025, and it'll cost $279.99. If you can't wait until then, pre-🏅orders for the set are already open via the link in the box belo♉w.
It's been a busy couple of weeks for Lego, which has been revealing some pretty significant plans for upcoming sets.
