Best of all, however, is the new item that will enter the Lego Mario Kart fray via this upcoming set, the Piranha Plant. Break open the little Lego item box that comes with the set and attach the piranha plant to the front of your kart as you chase down your Lego racing rivals.

The second, smaller Mario Kart set adds Shy Guy to the mix. The kart comes with the same shells and also a banana skin to leave behind it, but best of all, you can attach a matching P-Wing glider. Both of the sets will be available to buy directly from Lego starting on August 1, 2025. The Piranha Plant Power-Up set will cost $49.99, and the smaller Shy Guy & P-Wing set will cost $19.99.

The sets will join the other Lego Mario Kart offerings coming our way on August 1 that have not only already been revealed, but . Wario will finally be turned into Lego for the first time as he and King Boo will be a part of the same combined set, also priced at $49.99 like the Toadette and Koopa Troopa set.
