During your adventures, you’ll eventually find your way to the Frostlands, the snowy landscape with towering icy mountains. What Does Being Too Cold Do?

You’ll be able to notice that you get cold in Lego Fortnite early on, such as when you explore at night without a fire close by. You’ll get this notification especially when you begin to explore the tundra of the Frostlands.

At the top left of the UI is a temperature gauge. It ranges from blue hues to signify cold temperatures, to orange hues to signify hot temperatures.

When you are Cold, the edges of your screen will have a blue and frosty visual effect. If you let yourself continue to stay cold, you’ll take a small bit of damage every once in a while. Being cold will also slow you down slightly.

The second stage of being cold is when the temperature becomes Freezing outside. This will usually occur at night in the Frostlands biome, or inside Ice Caves. When you are Freezing, you will take a small chunk of damage every second.

Don't let yourself stay Freezing, especially in the Frostlands. Enemies here are heavy hitters, and getting to low health from the cold is a surefire way to accidentally die.

How To Increase Cold Resistance With Food

If you need to stave off the cold just a little bit, Spicy Peppers are a great way to do so, and you can find them in the Dry Valley biome. Eating Spicy Peppers will slightly increase your Cold Resistance for a couple minutes.

Much like deserts in the real world, the Dry Valley biome gets cold at night. Make sure to have 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:heat resistance in the daytime, but also something for cold resistance at night. Spicy Peppers come in handy here.

However, to stay warm enough to avoid the Freezing status effect, you'll want something stronger. The Spicy Burger is a great food item to really increase your Cold Resistance. Here are the ingredients:

How To Increase Cold Resistance With Charms

You should also craft a charm to increase your Cold Resistance. Once you've leveled up your Crafting Table enough, you'll unlock the Inner Fire Charm.

The Inner Fire Charm will be essential to staying warm. It will also increase your health by four hearts, and give you an additional seven defense.

Other Tips For Staying Warm

Between consumables and a charm for Cold Resistance, you should be all set to go explore the Frostlands. Here are other tips to keep in mind to stay warm on your adventures:

• If you're in a pinch, gather up three pieces of Wood to build a Campfire. This helps reduce one stage of coldness (so if you are Freezing, you will just become Cold).
• Craft and equip a Hearty Totem, which heals you as long as you are full health. This can help counter the small ticks of damage from the Cold.
• Sleep in a bed through the night in the Frostlands, preferably near a Campfire. The passive healing from resting will balance out any damage from Freezing.
