Monorails are a great way to get around in Lego Fortnite. Heꦏre's a good way tꦺo build one for yourself.

For a large chunk of time, running around on your own two Lego feet will have to suffice. But as you get increasingly better gear and access to more rare materials, you’ll be able to develop other ways of traveling around the map. You can even attempt to build a car, and here's how to put one together.

How To Get Materials For A Car

A Lego players looks through the "Toys" tab of the build menu.

Even after 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fully leveling up your first village and upgrading to an Epic Crafting Bench, there won’t be specific builds you can access to make a fully formed car. You will have to cobble together some Dynamic objects to get something that can move.

First things first, you will need to progress enough in Lego Fortnite to where you have both the Rare Crafting Bench and access to the Dry Valley. By this point, you should be able to chop down cactuses in the Dry Valley to get Flexwood.

The other important material you will need to have found is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Blast Powder. The easiest way to gather this item is by defeating Skeletons that come out at night in the Dry Valley.

Once you're able to get to the materials you'll need, everything will revolve around the ability to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:make a Dynamic Foundation, which you need in order to create a moveable vehicle.

How To Build A Basic Car

A Lego player stands on top of a Dynamic Foundation with wheels attached to it.

If you're looking to get somewhere or transport items quickly in a straightforward direction, you can put together a basic car.

Make sure to start building a car on level ground, otherwise your car mig♛ht start to run away from you once you add wheels.

Here are the steps to making a simple car build:

  • Build a Dynamic Foundation.
  • Attach four Wheels (either Small or Large) to the Dynamic Foundation, two on each opposite side.
  • Attach a Small or Large Thruster to the center of the rear of the Dynamic Foundation.
  • Attach an Activation Switch anywhere on the Dynamic Foundation.

Destroying a Wheel or Thruster will, unfortunately, not return its crafting materials to you. 𓄧Keep this in mind if you end up making a mistake and need to re-do some🌊thing.

Now, anytime you turn on the Activation Switch, it will turn on the Thruster attached to the Dynamic Foundation. This interaction is what propels your car forward.

However, this basic car will only go in one direction: forward. If you need to shift direction, you will need to hop off and push the vehicle to face another direction anytime you want to go somewhere different.

How To Steer A Car

A Lego player puts together a car that can steer better using several walls and build pieces.

While it can be fairly straightforward to make a basic car, getting one to steer in the direction you want is a bit more complicated. There isn't some kind of steering wheel that you can attach just yet, and unless you want to hop off any time you need to turn, you'll need to create a workaround.

Because an Activation Switch will turn on any Thruster attached to a Dynamic Foundation, you will need to build a mechanism that allows for the Thrusters that control turning to be "separate" from your Dynamic Foundation.

Lego player building several pieces of a car vehicle.

You'll start off the same way by building a Dynamic Foundation. Next, the goal is to build a walled or fenced-in area that encloses two towers that will be your turning mechanism.

At the right step, you will need to partially destroy each tower so it drops into the fenced-in area, and can be used without being a💮ttached to the main Dynamic Foundation.

The towers need to contain a base pillar attached to the Dynamic Foundation, a small pillar above it, and a Floor piece on top of it that will "catch" on 🌄the surrounding fence.

You want to then attach a Small Thruster to each tower piece, facing the correct way to push in the direction you'll need. Also, attach Activation Switches to the tower pieces so thatꦕ you can interact with them while "driving" your 𓃲car.

A Lego player looks at Activation Switches that can turn a car in different directions.

Next, destroy the lower part of each tower. If everything works right, the upper parts of the towers will drop into the fenced area, and the Small Thrusters can be turned on by their respective Activation Switches.

Finish up your car by adding four wheels, and then a Large Thruster in the center of the rear of the Dynamic Foundation. The last piece will be to attach an Activation Switch on the Dynamic Foundation to control the car's Large Thruster.

Now, you can cruise around relatively easily. While driving, activate the Small Thrusters on each tower to shift your car direction in the way you want.

Make sure to have plenty of extra supply of the crafting materials you need for all this. It might take a little trial and error to get this workaround working correctly, depending on what 🏅build pieces you have available to you ꦺat the time.
