Defeating this boss is your main source of Corruption in Last Epoch, and they also drop some powerful Unique items when slain. This guide wi൩ll explain how to gain access to this fight, give a general overview of its attacks, and cover the rewards you can earn from defeating the Shade of Orobyss.

How To Fight The Shade Of Orobyss

Last Epoch End Of A World Echo

The Shade of Orobyss can be found in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monolith of Fate endgame activity. As you complete timeline Echoes and push outward, 💟you will have a moderate chance of finding tiles named "Echo of a World." Entering this node will start the Orobyss boss fight. If you succeed, you will receive a Unique from the boss' loot table and increase your timeline's Corruption stat.

You are more likely to find the Echo of a World on the edges of your timeline web. The further the node is from your web's epicenter, the more Corruption Orobyss will award once slain. In addition to their exclusive Uniques, killing Orobyss will reset your Echo web, although your Stability and Corruption will remain for that timeline.

Shade Of Orobyss Boss Guide

Last Epoch Shade of Orobyss Fight Start

Once you enter the Echo of a World, the Shade of Orobyss will spawn from the remnants of an old Monolith and engulf itself in a certain element. Part of the boss' moveset is determined by its element, chosen at random when the fight starts. This m🦋eans that not every S♊hade of Orobyss encounter will play out the same.

The Shade of Orobyss can perform thไe following attacks whi༒le aligned with the listed element:

  • Fire: Breathes fire in a wide cone; summons fireballs that linger before detonation.
  • Lightning: Channels a powerful laser attack; creates four static orbs that move erratically.
  • Cold: Creates multiple projectiles that orbit the arena; fires a frozen orb that grows in size with each second.
  • Physical: A copy of the boss is created that remains stationary, dealing increased damage each second it remains alive; summons three blood orbs that detonate on impact.
  • Poison: Breathes poison in a wide cone, spawns poison pools that deal escalating damage.

Beyond those elements, the Shade of Orobyss will use three Void attacks and a melee swipe throughout the fight. We hi🅺ghly recommend you max your Void and Physical resistances before attempting this fight. The more survivability tools you have, the easier thi⛎s fight will be.

Basic Attacks

Last Epoch Shade of Orobyss Melee Attack

The Shade of Orobyss will attempt to melee you if you get too close, dealing a moderate amount of Physical damage. Try to stay at a distance to prevent them from hitting you. If you are too far from the boss, it will throw out a Void projectile that deals moderate Vo💎id damage. This attack has💯 no tracking, so you can safely strafe to the side and avoid it.

Meteor Slam

Last Epoch Shade of Orobyss Meteor Slam Attack

After a short animation, the Shade will raise its arms and conjure a massive meteor before slamming it into the ground, dealing massive Void damage to anyone below. Simply walk away from the meteor right as it appears to avoid t🦩he attack. If your movement speed is too slow, use a movement skill to avoid this attack.

There's a varia♕nt of this skill that uses a meteorite. It comes out much faster but deals far le𒊎ss damage. The same counter applies here as well.

Void Cascade

Last Epoch Shade of Orobyss Void Cascade Attack

The Shade will create three separate lines of black holes that remain in place, dealing massive damage to anyone caught inside. The black holes always spawn from the front and rear of the boss. Move out the way the second you see the black holes form, and avoid entering them at all costs. The black holes deal more damage as they persist, so they can one-shot you under the right circumst♏aꩵnce.

Black Hole Mines

Last Epoch Black Hole Mine Spawn

Multiple black holes will spawn in the arena that will remain stationary, behaving like a mine. The black holes will grow in size before exploding, releasing a barrage of projectiles that deal low Fire damage. Thܫe explosion itself hits like a truck, however, so stay clear of the black hole as it detonates.

Additional Void Abilities

Last Epoch Shade of Orobyss Void Attacks

From our limited time fighting Orobyss, we haven't seen every Void ability in their kit, but they have over a dozen abilities they can pull from. Shade will only use three Void abilities, so you can kill this boss multiple times and ne💖ver see these attacks. Here is every remaining Void attack we haven't mentioned:

  • Eye Gaze: The boss summons five eyes that release a Void projectile in a straight line. You must kill the eyes to stop the attack.
  • Void Circle: Shade will channel a series of Void circles that will detonate after a short delay, dealing massive damage. It channels the furthest ring first and progressively gets closer.
    • Stay close to the boss, and use a movement skill to avoid the final explosion.
  • Black Hole (Meteor Variant): Shade will summon a black hole that attracts Void meteors from the outskirts of the arena. The meteors will slowly move into the black hole, damaging anything in their path.
  • Black Hole (Seeking): Shade will spawn eight black hole projectiles that will slowly track your character's location. If a black hole touches you, it'll explode after a short delay.
  • Void Rift: This is a variant of the Shade's ranged projectile that immediately recasts a second time.
  • The End Comes: Shade will yell "The end comes" and throw a massive meteor across the arena. The meteor is a one-hit kill.
  • Diagonal Blast: Shade will summon three cones of Void energy that grow in width. Once they stop growing, the cones explode and deal significant Void damage.
  • Tentacles: The boss summons three tentacles that can hit you, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:similar to the Lagon fight. Each hit deals Physical and Void damage.
