It’s time to take on the boss of Dangerous Dinner in Kirby’s Return To Dream Land Deluxe. The fire-breathing Landia is actually made up of four dragons, and y🐼ou’ll need to be on your toes to avoid attacks from all of them.
The boss fight has two phases. In the first, you’ll take on Landia as a single entity, where it typically uses long-range attacks to damage you. In the second phase, it splits into four dragons, meaning you’ll have even more attacks to avoid. However෴, that also gives you four targets to hit. Here’s how to take it down꧂.
Copy Ability Choices
Before this boss, you’ll have the choice of s♌ix Copy Abilities:
- Sand;
- Wing;
- Leaf;
- Cutter;
- Bomb;
- and Ninja.
These are all fairly good options, and it mostly comes down to which you prefer to use. That being said, long-range attacks are useful in this fight, so Cutter, Bomb and Ninja are the most useful. Choose your preference and head right🐼. Drop down and enter the star door.
How To Defeat Landia
First Phase
Landia will most often shoot fireballs at you from one of its four heads. You can dodge this by jumping out of the way. It will also spin and try to hit you with its tail. When it does this, jump and float up above it.
Landia may also charge at you from one end of the arena to another. Jump and float above it when it begins to charge🐲.
When it turns to face forward, the two heads on the side will breathe fire onto the ground. Leap up into the air and stay close to the 🦹edge ꩲof the arena to avoid this attack.
By flapping its wings, Landia shoots shockwaves of air at you. Dodge the blue shockwaves ꦏby f🥀loating up and down.
Your best strategy during this phase is to get short-range hits in when Landia is stationary between attacks. When it’s throwing fireballs at you or other projectiles, you can throw long-range attacks in between your dodges.
Second Phase
When you reduce Landia to half HP, it will split up into four dragons. The dragons begin by flying around the stage and breathing fire directly at the ground. While they’re doing this, stay in the air to avoid the fire, and try to dodge the dragons themselves as t✤heꦆy fly around.
The dragons will also shoot electricity together, forming lines across the arena. 🌜Avoid touching these or else you’ll be shocked𝄹.
Additionally, the dragons will charge at you in pairs. Jump out of the way of the first pair, then look for the direction the secꦛond pair will aim for. Dodge those too.
The dragons may position themselves in the four corners of the arena and then pass a fireball between them. They pass it anti-clockwise between them, and you can stay in the center to dodge it completely for the first round. Then, they’ll start passing it diagonally between them, and you’ll need t⛦o watch wh🌃ere it’s thrown to avoid making contact.
During this attack, run to the opposite side of where the fireball is headed and attack one of the dragons on this side. When they throw the fireball again, run to another safe section and🌌 repeat.
The dragons will then conduct electricity between them, which crosses over in the center. They’ll move around the arena like this.
Get into a safe corner and follow them around. You can attack the nearest dragon to you duri♛ng t🍨his.
After these attacks, they’ll join as a single dragon again and repeat attacks from the first phase: throw♉ing fireballs at you, breathing fire at the ground, and aimi⭕ng shockwaves at you.
Now, they’ll switch between this form and the separated form, repeating the attacks. Dodge as much as possible and focus on hitting them with long-range attacks. Use short-range attacks when it’s safe.
When they’re defeated, they&r💃squo;ll fall to the ground, and a cutscene will begin before the final boss.
