I've be🔜en waiting for years to play Kingdom Hearts on a handheld again.
That second closed beta test had a lot of fans convinced that Missing Link wasn't too far away from release and might end up coming out in 2024 after all. While that hasn't been officially confirmed just yet, an update that was made to both the English and Japanese Missing Link websites does suggest that the next Kingdom Hearts is nearly here.
Missing Link Website Says Pre-Registration Details Are Coming Soon
, the has been given a small update that adds an interesting message to the front page. That message reveals that p🐎re-registration details for the game are going to be 🅺"coming soon".
This means that, presumably in the next few months, players will be able to sign up to get access to Missing Link, which suggests that the full release won't be much further than that. That's not all, though, that adds some more information about the game's mechanics, such as how the GPS system works.
Both websites suddenly getting updated out of nowhere (with one even outright saying that pre-registration information is coming soon) does suggest that Missing Link is in the final stretches of development and will likely release at some point this year. It's not clear yet if it'll launch in a beta state (considering it's had closed beta tests in the past), but we do at least know that something is on the horizon.
I actually had the chance to take part in the first and second closed beta tests for Kingdom Hearts Missing Link, and was pleasantly surprised at how far it's come in between sessions. It certainly seems closer to release than it did in 2023.
With Summer Game Fest happening in a few weeks time, it's possible that Missing Link will show up on the stage and get a release date there. It does seem like a bit of a smaller game to have at the event, though, especially compared to Kingdom Hearts 4, so it's possible it just gets its own announcement at some point.
While we wait for that, have a listen to the . You won't regret it.
