The second beta test introduces Nept, alongside some other previously unseen figures, and reveals a little more about Scala ad Caelum during the Blank Era. From what we've seen so far, the Baroque Society will also play an important part, as Freya, Remus, Nept, and now the player character, are all members. These are all the new characters seen in Missing Link so far.

5 Player

"A Strange Keyblade Wielder With No Memories..."

The p♕layer character is completely customisable, including their name and appearance.

The player character awakens on a beach at nighttime, nudged awake by a character named Remus. The player character quickly fixates on the Keyblade Remus is holding, suggesting 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:they are a Keyblade wielder. When Remus is knocked back by a giant Heartless and drops the Keyblade, the player character grabs it and se𝓡ems to remember something — how to use the Keyblade.

After the player character defeats the Heartless, Remus asks them which society they are a part of, but they don't know. In response, Remus dubs them a "drifter". It soon becomes apparent that the player character has very little memory of who they are — not even their name when Remus asks for it. The Keyblade Remus found seems to belong to them, though, and it is strangely rusty.

Remus takes them to Scala ad Caelum, where they meet with Freya and Nept, the latter of whom invites them to join the Baroque Society and explore the Astral Plane. The player character seems to become attached to Remus fairly quickly, as Freya later reassures the player that Remus will be coming soon when they look concerned. They also appear to have a flashback upon looking at Ephemer's statue in Scala ad Caelum, but we are not shown what the player character remembers or its significance.

4 Remus

A Friendly Face

Remus frequents the beach to look꧃ for treasure, which is where he finds the player character. As a Keyblade wielder, 🥃he is a part of the Baroque Society and was previously tasked with investigating the warp worlds. He has been unsuccessful in his research and has yet to solve the case, which is why Nept passes this responsibility to the player character.

Have you ever wondered꧙ how many planets Sora and the other protagonists explore in the Kingdom Hearts series? Here's the answ🐓er!

Remus questions whether the player character really has lost their memory — he's suspicious of the fact that they were able to use a Keyblade, and that the city guards believed them to be part of an assault seen on the beach earlier that night. However, he comes to the player's defense when Nept starts investigating the Keyblade further. Nept encourages Remus to take the new recruit, the player character, under his wing.

Remus' name could be a reference to the twins Remus and Romulus in Roman mythology who were the founders of Rome, but there is no sign of a 'Romulus' just yet.

3 Nept

The Boss

Nept is the Operations Master of the Baroque Society, as well as a member of the Society Legal Investigations Committee. When Remus and the player character arrive at the Baroque Society's headquarters, they are pursued by city guards believing they were part of an assault on the beach, but Nept sways them to leave, seemingly using a mysterious power to make them forget why they were accusing Remus and the player character in the first place.

When Nept begins to look at the rusty Keyblade found with the player character, Remus comments that Nept "knows all about the other societies and Keyblade wielders," suggesting that he's well-connected and knows a lot more than he is currently showing. Despite this knowledge and the mysterious power he used earlier, Nept appears to have a cheery and laid-back personality that he shows to Remus and Freya.

Many fans have already noticed that 'Nept' is most likely short for Neptune, the Roman god of the sea and water. Paired with his blue hair, it's possible that Nept could be Aqua's ancestor.

They discuss w༒hether to pursue Remus and the player character, but decide to leave it for now, as they know where they are. These characters are not seen again in the scenes available.

1 Freya

The Player's Guide

The final main character you meet, Freya is also a member of the Baroque Society. Rather than practical work, she handles all the "ad🌄ministrative work", according to Nept. After the player character has been recruited into the Baroque Society, Freya gives them more information about the city the next day. She knows a lot about the Astral Plane, which she describes as "connected to our own world via corridors we call distortions", and tells the player character that this is where the Heartless come from.

Freya speculates that the Heartless come to their world as there are no hea💫rts to steal in the astral dimension.

Similar to Remus and Nept, Freya's name also seems to be derived from mythology, and is likely a reference to the Norse goddess Freya. Her grey-silver hair is also strikingly similar to Ephemer's, but there are no further hints to suggest that the two are related, though it is possible.
